Evidence of dogs' sixth-sense:

Animal instinct, pet owners swear by it. From cats sensing impending health problems like seizures, to dogs barking madly when unfamiliar footsteps appear on the garden path.

Even as far back as 373BC, it is recorded that animals, including rats, snakes and weasels, deserted the Greek city of Helice in droves just days before a quake devastated the place.

Those without that 'special bond', though, remain sceptical. But doubters, prepare to be converted.

Sixth sense: The dog relaxes on the floor (above) before dashing for the exit (below) seconds before a quake hits the office

Dog Senses Earthquake

CCTV footage has emerged of a news station office in North Carolina seconds before an eathquake struck on January 9.

It shows a dog idly passing the time on the floor before, apparently without any duress, springing up and making a swift exit.

Seconds later seats swing out of position, draws slip open and fixtures and  fittings begin to wobble. Then, the shuddering really starts.

While our K9 friend has escaped prior to the quake, people dash for the exits when the room begins to shake forcibly.

The only question is, why didn't man's best friend warm his unaware human collegues?

Very interesting clip, I already know that dogs have this amazing sixth sense and they also talk to you telepathically, but you have to love one to know! I am sure there will be many skeptics finding some excuse for this reality…

i think most animals do have the sense as well and I'm pretty sure dogs can see auras and things.

Skeptics find a excuse for everything they don't want to believe. That's why it is almost impossible to prove anything to them.

We had a Newfoundland when my daughter was four. We had just moved into a different house and neighborhood. There was an older man across the street who would cross over to talk at times. The backyard was fenced and one day my daughter and I were out gardening . The dog was with us as usual. The neighbor came into the yard ,uninvited btw and struck up a conversation. As he stood there he would pat my daughter's head . The dog put herself between the man and my daughter and moved the man's hand from my daughters head. I was a little embarassed as anyone who knows Newfies knows they can have a somewhat slobbery mouth. This occured a few times until he finally left . Something about this man irritated me but I wanted to get off on the right foot with new neighbors. Later in talking with friends who grew up in that very neighborhood I learned that same man had molested  little girls .

Very true Richard, but I believe we are over the need to have to prove things, or that could just be me.

You gotta love that dog MN, it’s a shame that your dog did not bite his hand! My dogs also would be very picky about who would be allowed to go near our children, and I never doubt the dog’s instinct.

When I was a wee little lad, my parents had a dog. A black lab. She was my bff, as I'm told. She protected me from the older kid we lived near, I'm told who used to mess with me. I was like 2-3 then. She bit him in the ass, and got really fierce when he was around me. I've found since, that my family, going way back, far and wide, we've always had a dog in the family. Dogs, and animals in general, have always been aware. In tune with people around them, and the environment. Alot like some groups of people, [i.e, Native American Indians, and people in jungles etc.] For better or worse. I love the furry friends. Dogs are just plain cool. Maybe the dog in the vid didn't bother to warn those around him, because he knew they just wouldn't listen.
