Monday’s Mexican earthquake, which took place in Baja California at about 11 a.m., also shook parts of the U.S..

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake hit about 360 miles south of the California Border, but office workers in San Diego were evacuated from various high-rise buildings due to the temblor.

According to the USGS, prior to the 6.9 earthquake, they believe a swarm of quakes hit between the 5.0 and 5.9 range.

The USGS indicates that the temblor was felt as far north as Eugene, Oregon, and in such states as Mississippi, Iowa, Texas, Arizona, Nebraska, and New Mexico with varying intensity.
