American Indian dream
#1
Interesting dream I had last night. I was in a mall-type area with a lot of people, some of whom I knew. Then, for what reason I do not know, nor do I know what I said, but suddenly this old, American Indian Chief came riding up to me on his horse and before I knew it, he pulled me up onto the back of his horse and started galloping through the mall. We were going so fast, I was kind of scared, but he kept on telling me to not close my eyes, to keep my eyes open, so I did. As we flew along, I saw this red stallion running along side us, like a spirit horse in a cloud. I was awed. Then I saw a white spirit horse kind of in front and above us. I was about to say something to the Chief, and he said to me, “see, I told you to keep your eyes open.” We were almost flying now as we went down a flight of stairs. Boy...I could feel my stomach leap up into my throat, even in my dream, but I was really having the time of my life. The Chief seemed to want to show or teach me something, and we kept on going.

Suddenly someone grabbed the Chief off of the horse and killed him. Or at least I think he was killed. It happened so fast that I don't really know what happened. The horse neighed really loud and reared up. He turned around on a dime and took off back the way we had come. He was going so fast and I was on the rear of him trying to hang on. I kept on pulling on the saddle, trying to get up on it, but I couldn't. Finally, right when we were back at the mall area, I pulled on the saddle and it came off in my hands and I fell off of the horse. I was crying as I carried the saddle up to this group of young people that the horse had run to. Evidently, these people were the Chief's grandchildren. I gave them the saddle and told them that someone killed their grandfather. I was crying and saying how sorry I was, but they said that it was okay – almost like they had expected this. They gently took the saddle from me and turned to go somewhere.

Then, some guy told me to follow him. I don't know why I trusted him, but I did at first and I started to follow him. But after a little while, I began to notice these strange people dressed in black who seemed to be staring at me. I suddenly realized that the guy I was following was evil and he was leading me into some kind of a trap and I turned around and started to run back to the mall. Everywhere I seemed to turn, there was another man in black, but I kept on running and I eventually managed to escape them and got back to the Indian's grandchildren. I woke up shortly thereafter, so I don't know what else happened except I do know that these “men” who were after me were very upset that I got away.

even though is an old dream, is an interesting one.
in the first part like you have some sort of teacher/guidance(the chief who presenets knowedlege and experience) that teaches you about something. and the horse has a positive note here. The message to keep your eyes open is also emphasized, which i think is very important..and the same mesage can be used for the second part for the person which you followed but at the end it turned is evil.
like the first part is learning an the second one puting into practise what you have learned and here you are on you own with your own ability to judge and discern what is what and who...you do follow the 'negative" path, then you realize it and at the end you go back again returning to the true source..
these are just my impressions of your dream, nothing else.

Thank you, Zvezdica. I have for the most part given up on recording my dreams. I just have so many and they are all so very strange. I now only keep track of the ones that either scare the bejeejees out of me or that really smack me of some kind of message.

I understand you,and I think you have done well for keeping track only of the important ones. sometimes the meaning of a certain dreams can come even after some years have passed(at least this is my experience).

Had another dream last night of American Indians. This time I was being allowed to watch some kind of performance. An old Indian man with a wolf sitting next to him, was letting me be there. The wolf kept watching me and I felt very close to him. The name Lakota kept coming to mind. Maybe the Lakota Indians?

Well it could be (the Lakota indians), maybe also the wolf is related to wolf frequency or so...I personaly like wolves

Yes, I was VERY drawn to wolves some years back. I even "adopted" one (I gave money for one in the wild and got his picture and updates on him). I still have collector plates on of wolves and a sculpted picture on one on my walls. I even had an "episode" once when I lived in Wisconsin regarding wolves. I was with this one guy and he had a cabin on (of all things) an Indian Reservation right off an island called Wolf Island. One night when I was sleeping, I woke up and saw eyes staring at me. I looked harder and saw that it was wolves at the foot of my bed. I freaked out and put my head under the covers and fell back asleep. When I woke up the next day, I just assumed that I had had a dream. In the back of my mind though, I swear that I was really visited by wolves.

Wow this is quite an experience and seems like you really have a strong connection to them.
-wolf island
-cabin near indian reservat
-night "visit/dream" by a wolf.
This is fascinating.

DT, It's interesting in another post you speak of your annoyance of crows. I was taught since a young un to watch and listen to the birds, crows and ravens in particular. They serve as a warning that large  predators such as mountain lions and wolves  are about. This has certainly proven true with our visiting mountain lions and wolf size coyotes.

A scientist, who is stationed out west in one of the huge National Parks, was visiting just recently to check out the mountain lion and bear events. She confirmed what I was taught.  The elk population suffered a huge loss when the wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone. On observation it was noted that the elk were ignoring the sounds  the ravens make when a large predator was nearby. Because wolves had been absent from the park for so long the elk were losing their genetic memory. Our discussion actually began about the topic of genetic memory.
