I have a question if anyone can enlighten me. Is Pluto the planet a factor in astrology and have any influence on earth ?

According to Astrojewels it does. Pluto's energy still effects us even though it's not classified as a planet.

Pluto is one of the most important planets in your Natal Chart, and the Funk Astrology article you posted is quite accurate. Pluto conjunct Moon is an aspect that governs emotional control/emotional domination, so there could be events for humanity that test our emotional self control, both from family and external people/events.
