Beware of Phone scammers telling you that your computer is infected with a virus
#1

Toward the evening I answered a phone call at my mothers urging to answer since she was busy at the moment and could not get to the phone. She has caller ID I looked for info for the inbound caller but none showed up I was very hesitant to pick up the phone but it kept ringing my mom insisted that I answer. I picked up the phone and some girl with an indian accent was telling me that my computer had a virus my intuition begin to kick in danger will robinson danger. My blood pressure went up and I became very irritable and hostile towards this person who are you with she started spouting off some company I think like FMC and that they were Microsoft Certified specialist they may be but are running a scam that has been reported by countless invidividuals who had their computer remotely controlled because they gave them access. I was really seriously agitated at that point and took it as a sign of a bad event is going to happen I immediatley told them in a hostile voice my computer has no technical issues and I am not interested BYE! and hung up. I am normally not rude or hostile toward people mostly those I perceive who are being dishonest and deceptive towards me. Although cold calling normally catches people off guard because they don't expect to recieve such a salemen calling on them and their mind is generally some where else as opposed to them calling the sales person and the salemen has the callers undivided attention I know since I use to worked at one time for many years answering the phone as a customer sales rep at an Electronics parts company many years ago.

They try to call again they will wish they did not make that 2nd call I will tell this person everything I know about them that is there secrets and that I am no dummy.

Even my mom been claiming she believe shes been recieving scam calls as well and said she is carefull not to give out personal info and quickly hangs up on them. Just giving you people a heads up because they will fuk up your bank account and your computer up royally if you fall for their scamas well as steal your identity and your life.

Hi Elizabeth this one caught me by supprise but aparently I handled it with some firmness due to inside info on the person I was talking too otherwise I would of been fooled. This scam is being opperated from India as well as lot of other telemarketing compainies based in the US like one company trying to sell Home Security system using a Telemarketing company that use a voice recognition system called robo tom with an automated human voice recognition systme keyed in to what you say and respond with Robo Toms voice according to what you just said. Generally when people first answer the phone and say hello since it mess up the Robo toms response which it will not respond so you have to pick up the phone and say nothing and in few seconds it kicks in. I don't know if it Legal for US or other companies to go this route since they can bypass the do not call list thing which is worthless and a sham anyway. I hear the telemarketers are coming back with full force to harss you at dinner time and probably have figured out how to get around the do no call law thingy by using foreign companies like some are doing by hiring telemarking firms in India.

I read about one individual for instance in the case of the phone scamming telemarketers telling them they had a virus would act silly and drive these people insane and even commented next time he will record these people if they call again and sell it on Ebaby as comedy for 5 bucks or so. I know one other individual personally his name is Tom Mabe who did this because at the time he was a very talented musician waiting on Phone calls from business clients who were interested in his service to write musical jingles for thier commercials instead he was plagued by incessant calls from telemarketers trying to sell him something but instead of getting mad he used his unique humor to get back at them to the point of confusing them and make money as well this basically launched his carrer as a comedian. I knew his mother back then since she use to cut my hair when I was in my teens, his other brother Lee Mabe whos talent is an artist I think they had a sister but never talked to this person. At the time their father pass away a long time ago and my dad was a kind of fatherly mentor they both looked up too and respected. Today Tom Mabe is quite successfull in the comedic business with his own unique brand of humor that only Tom Mabe can produce. I remember when I first was exposed to his humor was when he was at my parents house when I was a teen his humor made me laugh I said to myself this boy has talent and has a future.

Scammers are very rampant today that's why being cautious to avoid them is a wise thing to do.

Yes scammers are a huge problem. I think they outnumber honest people. I was so sick of scammers calling my phone all day and night that I installed a phone number blocker on my home phone and my cell phone. It's peaceful now. Now the only time my phones ring is when family and friends are calling.
