Beyond Integration: One Multiple's Journey
#11
Polly!

I love your avatar as well as a very nice 'self-description'! Very endearing...! And, an interesting quote you have there ...icon_smile

Anyway, looking at your reply I take it you don't seem to completely agree with my 'non-professional analysis' of MPDs & the demonic aspect? Just wondering...

I finally had a look at the link provided above. I think it is interesting that the difference from one (MPD vs DID) has to do with age. It's certainly something that has not as been widely circulated (at least to my limited awarenessicon_blush) yet crucial in properly determining the onset & timing of the dissociative characteristics.

As to Borderline, I do know from having been a member on a forum for sexually abused victims, that one of the most obvious manifestations in the victim is the cutting &/or hurting of Self as well as a "risk behaviour pattern" in order to feel themselves again.

Eating Disorders also fall under the umbrella of Borderline (anorexia, bulimia as well as binge eating or drinking).

DID certainly is the most obvious psychological disorder that manifests as a result of the sexual abuse.

What is however, extremely important in establishing the definition that closest 'fits'  the individual (at least, IMHO) is to bear in mind that often, a truly traumatised victim of mind control can have a multitude of several psychological disorders where the symptoms blur into a sum total of various "fitting" definitions which often makes it very difficult to pinpoint what the main or central psychological disorder is & where often the psychological overall difficulties are but "side-effect manifestations" of the core condition.

Feedback appreciated!:)

Underdog was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid and people used to call me Sweet Polly Purebred, who was his love interest in the cartoon for anyone not familiar with it.  I was looking to see if I had any residual programming attached to the character but so far have not found any; just humor.  :)

Concerning your thoughts about the demonic, anyone who has been traumatized (especially repeatedly) is more open to the demonic (MPD or not); trauma opens up the auric field.

In Ralph Allison's experience with clients, the last aspect to be integrated was the person's spiritual aspect, what he calls the essence.  (The original birth personality and essence are not separated in non-multiple people.)  In the meantime, he worked with an alter he called the Inner Self Helper (like the essence) which provided enormous assistance in teaching him to help his clients.

I am now reading, "The Family Inside: Working with the Multiple," by Doris Bryant, Judy Kessler and Lynda Shirar which was published in 1992 and was written before, "Beyond Integration."

I found something in this book of extreme interest to me and while it is in depth and too long to reproduce here, what is termed in the book as a certain type of negative introject personality which is not part of the multiple's inner system (was not created by the multiple as an alter personality) and is described as "intellectual, without feeling, cold-blooded and seeks to hurt and control" is what, I think, has been termed elsewhere as the "Internal Programmer."  This negative introject is a replica of the abuser and "was swallowed whole."

If this particular negative introject loses control of the system, it "uses abuse not to maintain the system [as other abuser/persecutor personalities belonging to the multiple would] but to control the system, and, if necessary, destroy it; it has no concern for the system."

In the book, this negative introject did not respond to therapy and was eventually asked to leave by the other alter personalities because it truly did not belong to the multiple.

What a lovely nick name to have ...!:) And very good, too there are no negative residuals attached to it.

Seconded...! Psychic intrusion being distorted in the worst possible fashion & manner...

Strange thing is I've been using that term for a long time myself when referring to my Spiritual Self. I would love to hear part 2 of his interview. Do you know whether there's a new one up & coming?

Yes, I feel that. It certainly makes sense to me.

This reminds me of a lady in Germany (Louise Reddemann) who works in a similar fashion with abuse victims (and, in the broader context those that were subject to mind control). She is one of the most reknowned therapists in Germany but unfortunately one has to live within a 100 km radius to be ebligible to take part in her therapeutic process. And, from what I understand, an extremely capable & experienced therapist & deprogrammer. She certainly has an excellent reputation especially among the abuse victims themselves (which is what really counts in this instance).

It seems to me that this 'IP' is also found in people that are totalitarian & often are the dictators of suppressed nations. I feel it is something that most politicians as well as the heads of business/entreprises share to varying degrees & extremes.

Would you say that in this case this also entails suicide as a 'last resort'? I remember that SS suggested this to me as a reason why I was so depressed & more often suicidal than I care to remember.

How does that represent itself in a DID?

One of the many other interesting items I have come across while reading, "The Family Inside: Working with the Multiple," is the lion theme.  Some of Judy's artwork is reproduced in the book; done while she was in therapy.  She molded a roaring lion out of clay to depict her rage at her abusers and drew a picture of a leaping, roaring lion with her, as a child, riding its back to depict the power she regained.
