Book: First Person Plural
#1
I just finished reading a book titled, "First Person Plural, My Life as a Multiple" by Cameron West, PhD.

A very good account of what went on in this man's mind as he switched back and forth between alters and the havoc which erupted in his life when he began remembering incest episodes by his mother, grandmother and someone else.  This book is not about a programmed multiple.  It doesn't go down that road.  His biggest challenge was overcoming the powerful denial that his mind actually did dissociate and split into different personalities to cope with the abuse.

Hey Polly, just out of curiousity, how did he overcome them?

He overcame the denial by agreeing to be taped on video while in a hospital program for multiples as various alters were called forward and interviewed.  Then he viewed the tape and could no longer deny the striking changes in himself when each alter was called forward to take control of the body because he saw it with his own eyes and heard it with his own ears.
