Claims that Distilled Water is Dangerous
#1
Stewart has preached a diet completely on distilled water. However, distilled water consumption on a daily basis is dangerous, according to an article by Zoltan P. Rona, MD who cited several sources.

The last few paragraphs in his article summarizes this very well:

Quote:The ideal water for the human body should be slightly alkaline and this requires the presence of minerals like calcium and magnesium.

Distilled water tends to be acidic and can only be recommended as a way of drawing poisons out of the body. Once this is accomplished, the continued drinking of distilled water is a bad idea.

Water filtered through reverse osmosis tends to be neutral and is acceptable for regular use provided minerals are supplemented.

Water filtered through a solid charcoal filter is slightly alkaline. Ozonation of this charcoal filtered water is ideal for daily drinking. Longevity is associated with the regular consumption of hard water (high in minerals). Disease and early death is more likely to be seen with the long term drinking of distilled water. Avoid it except in special circumstances.

I would be curious to hear Shawn's response. This is just something to think about.

Note: Distilled water consumption is nothing new. In 1970's, it "first became a fad with the health food crowd." There is nothing very credential about a group of people who would frabicate that urine consumption was good for you with equally as much devotion.

Great topic Get Boldened, very important at that.

To give you some observations of what we have seen (and others) with drinking distilled water. Like stated above, great for a purge, however patients/clients that drank distilled water long term, we found a distinct drop in mineral levels of the body when tested. So what we found through experience and testing, was that distilled water was actually stripping the body of essential minerals, electrolytes etc with long term use. So of course on my own personal observations I do not recommend distilled water long term, in fact 3 weeks at the most, and defiantly don’t cook with it, it does the same with food, pulls all the minerals out. As stated by Zoltan, one of the reason why it is more acidic is because it pulls carbon dioxide out of the air into it, basically it absorbs everything, hence good for a cleanse. Also Dr Emoto (I’m sure we have all heard of him by now), shows physical proof that distilled water crystal formation is basically destroyed. Btw, the only distiller I recommend is “The Living Water Machine” for a number of reason that can be read at the bottom of this link;
http://www.rangeguide.net/water.htm

Personally I would drink alkaline water over distilled water, yet almost the same can be added here as well. That yes, it’s great to get that p.h balanced, yet, long term, it up sets the stomach acids etc and the ability of digestive enzymes to do there job. Once again, great for specific purposes (ph), but long term, well, we have found a down fall side effect as well, but not as much as long term distilled water use.

Of course I would rather drink purified alkaline water then regular tap water any day, however I find the wellness water purifier
http://www.wellness.com.au/   to be a fantastic unit, with no filter changes, which saves a lot of money and hassle, and of course fantastic water. The wellness shower head is brilliant; believe it or not, showering in tap water is the worst of all, for we are absorbing so many chemicals through the skin, (a five minute shower is like drinking 12 glasses of chlorinated water) and of course chemical treated water is damaging to the skin as well. The wellness shower head filter fix’s that problem. Plus if you can not afford a bench top etc unit for the kitchen, then you can always fill your daily drinking water up out of the shower head, so, cheap way to get good water, plus of course pure shower water, the most important.

Another unit which is quiet remarkable and highly recommended is the “miraculewater unit”, plenty of info on this link;
http://miraculewater.com/products.htm#Counter

Another great Unit that I highly recommend for oxygenating your water with poly atomic oxygen (o2 to o16) is the Aran-Jector by Aranizer,
http://www.aranizer.com/ajseries.asp  which is not ozone, which I don’t really recommend, however “aran” oxygen (poly-atomic), is far superior to ozone, and totally safe, very effective. Actually on a side note, their little SS-series units that just purify the indoors of your home are fantastic, basically its like living in a rain forest with these little babies, plus, smoke, air born pollutants etc, bacteria etc, are gone, plus of course, plenty of fresh oxygen, great for the kids rooms.

When it comes to “specialty waters”, hands down Dan Nelsons water
http://www.rangeguide.net/water2006.htm created with the geometric virtual photon laser using reverse thermodynamics is with out a doubt the best water on Earth (In my opinion, and a lot of others). Not only does it contain the 35 isotopes (frequencies) of the elements that the human body needs for full health function, it has a dyne level (surface tension) of 20, consider for a moment the Patrick Flanagan’s water had a dyne level of 45, (Tap water 75) and we all thought that was great, 20 dynes is just ridiculously low level. But most of all the water has a bio-angstrom level (particle size), depending on which one you consume of 1.2 million or 12 million. Himalayan glacier water, or even Patrick’s water had a bio angstrom reading of around 7500, so a particle size of even 1. 2 million, let alone 12 million, makes this water hands down the most hydrating water on Earth. Also this water puts out an Auric field of over 400 feet. So certainly recommend this water to all, for all dis-eased conditions, or just pure health.

Dr Wheelers M-Water, is another great “specialty water”.
http://www.0disease.com/0mwater.html

And of course the cheapest “specialty water” on Earth, is simply Solar Water, just place some pure water in a glass, sit it in the Sun for 2, 4, 8 hours and drink it, if you want to get fancy with it, try the tachyon jar by SONA;

Sorry I got of the track a bit there, however just thought I would recommend some alternatives, but distilled water, no, not at all, not long term at all, or like they say, if you want to commit slow suicide, then drink distilled water long term. Sorry if this offends anyone, however I just can not recommend something that I have seen actually destroy health.

Good info Shawn. I always heard the same thing that drinking distilled water on a regular basis is bad for your health. I drink mostly filtered water but I also have a living water distiller. It’s too bad they don’t sell living water in stores because making it is a time consuming process.

Hi Richard,

Yes Mate, it is a controversial topic, and I guess the only way to "prove it" to ourselves is with "proof" that we see with our own eyes and experience, which is fully understandable. So I guess to do that, if someone does drink distilled water, then you could always have a mineral analysis through a hair test. This would probably be one of the most effective ways to go about it. One could always do an experiment themselves in regards to the bodies mineral levels, since that is the main principal being debated.

If it wasn't in regards to water, which we both know how important it is to life and wellbeing, then I wouldn't be so opinionated. But, it is what I have seen, so I base my opinion on that.  As we know, water just isn't water, and there are so many wonderful ways to have excellent water right in our kitchens with out the looming debate in concern.

So if anyone does have concerns then I certainly recommend a mineral analysis through a hair test, which is a great thing to have anyway. But if your mineral levels like calcium and magnesium etc are low, then maybe try a break from the distilled water, without doing anything different then just the water, then retest down the track again. Prove it to be the case, or not the case ourselves I guess.

However water is certainly important and we want the best we can get. As far as I'm concerned though, I am sure folks would be happy with any of the above units or specialty waters in the links above, in my opinion they are the best of the best, and I say that with a pure intent.

Shawn

P.S I agree Mate, by the time the "Living Water" unit makes the water you are dying of thirst :-).

Oh Golly, that's some sum of information to take in. Thank you Shawn! Relating to flouride in water, I think many people would like to know what kind of brand or type of tooth paste you perfer?

Hi GB,

Well at Health Food stores there are plenty of toothpastes without fluoride, however if you can find one that doesn't have fluoride as well as "sodium lauryl sulfate" SLS, then that is the one you want. SLS is also in shampoos because basically it's a chemical foaming agent, so if you are buying a natural shampoo, well, if you find one with out SLS then its best to use that one. So regardless of the brand, I guess it comes down to which one you like the best out of the toothpastes you can find that contain no fluoride or SLS. Personally I use a toothpaste called Grants with Tea Tree Oil, contains no sugar, no fluoride, no aluminium, and no SLS, so I don't know if it is available in the States, but its a great brand.

Take care,

Shawn

I don't find such toothpastes in the States. I could be looking at the wrong places. Thank you. I will save this thread for the future.

Every health food store in the US has various brands of tea tree oil toothpaste. Tea tree oil products are very popular here and you should have no trouble finding them. I use one made by Jason at this link.

Is there other source of minerals beside getting them from drinking (non-distilled) water?

Would that Help?...People who drink distilled water ( long term ), should take Multi-Vitamines on a regular basis to maintain essential mineral levels in the body.
