Now on to your comment...of course it was a satire. Everything that Colbert does is a satire, and anyone who watches him knows that. But the reason why everyone found it so funny (besides the obvious), was that, even though the Bushes knew who Stephen Colbert was and what he did, he still went over the line in their eyes and they were not 'amused.' I guess 'you can't always get what you want.'
