Comcast and the Digital Transition
#21
I think the problem I'm having does have something to do with the weather. We have more problems when it's raining, or cold, or even cloudy than when it's sunny. They have run a new coax to the house and replaced the filters in the box on the pole but none of that has helped. We only have one splitter and it's new. I even tried a cable amplifier and that didn't help either. One day I'll have to spend a day reading the Comcast forums and see if I can find a solution.

Comcast has acted really bad many times and most of us left them for Satallite TV. No extra anything or boxes needed for the change over.

I would switch to satellite if I could get DSL for my internet. Since I can't get DSL, I feel I'm stuck with Comcast. I talked with my neighbors about their service and they have been experiencing the same problems as I have. So I'm guessing the problem is with Comcast's lines somewhere. We had a huge storm Friday that took down a lot of trees and ever since then the service has been better. It made me wonder if the storm cause some line damage that they had to fix and that fixed the problem everyone was having.
