Computer Monitor Issues

Is out there any computer tehnician who can tell me why my monitor is behaving in very strange patterns? 

I am losing vertical and horizontal size and to restore it again I must to kick monitor with something. Everything else works fine.

I know a bit about computers Sariel but the 'main man' to ask would be our very own brilliant teamwork moderator, Weng, as he is a genius with computers and IT. May i ask how old your monitor is?If it is older than 5 years it means it is packing up and you need a new one. They are pretty cheap these days anyway.Also check all cable connections at the back of the monitor.Perhaps you should PM Weng?

Hey Sariel,  Is your monitor a flat screen or old style monitor?   My flat screen starts up sometimes all wackey so to fix it all i have to do is unplug the power for a second then plug it back in.    Plus my flat screen does not like cold weather, weird eh.    I would not suggest you open your monitor as i have done that once and now i stutter!  :P

  I would suggest asking Weng for better info!

It is 4 1/2 years old.

Cables are ok.

It is old style.

I tried with unplugging,  it worked  for two-three times, but don't help anymore.

Unfortunately, Weng told he is leaving this site for some time. But I can PM him.

Probably, monitor is at the end of his career, or there is some technical damage inside. But, repair would cost me more than new monitor. So, most likely I am going to buy new one.
