COLUMBUS, Ohio - Police were investigating the deaths of a couple and their two children found dead in a suburban Columbus, Ohio home as a possible murder-suicide.
Whitehall police did not say how the man, woman and children, ages 8 and 5, died and did not release their names. The children were home from school Wednesday for a snow day.
The deaths have "the markings of a murder-suicide" in a low-crime area to the northwest of Columbus, Sgt. Daniel Kelso said.
A neighbor said the father recently lost his job, something that may have been a factor in the deaths, investigators said.
The discovery came a day after police in Wilmington, Calif., found the bodies of a couple and their five children in their home. The father was in debt and had recently been fired from his job. Police there said he killed his family and himself.
