Our scientists say that the closest star is over 4 light years away....
The Elohim say that their planet is less than a light year away....
Scientists think that the speed of light is constant and that it always travels through space at the same speed...thus, it would take 4 light years to get to the closest star.
But, we've found that light can be sped up and slowed down...and that light doesn't constantly stay at the same speed when it travels throughout space....thus, it might speed up and slow down for a whole light year before it reaches the Elohim's planet.
Also, the curvature of space is said to effect the speed of light. By travelling on this pronounced curve, it would take 4 light years to reach the nearest star. But by travelling in a straight line, it would take 1 light year.
