D.U.M.B. GOALS
#1
S.M.A.R.T.  goals aim to be realistic and mundane.

Who needs that anyway?

Why be realistic and measurable? All the greats in history weren't aiming to be mundane, realistic, or follow the statius quo.

Christopher Columbus didn't make a S.M.A.R.T. goal to discover the new world, Martin Luther King Jr. didnt make a S.M.A.R.T. goal to march on Washington D.C., and it wasn't a S.M.A.R.T. goal to have man take his first step in space.

The greatest things in history were achieved because goal was so BIG and awe inspiring that the WHY came before there ever was a HOW.

So throw away the S.M.A.R.T. goals and create D.U.M.B. goals for yourself.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

D-  Dream/ Destiny  -  Have a dream or destiny so big that you are compelled by it.

U- Uplifting  -  Have goals that tug at you emotionally. Goals so grand that you can't wait to get out of bed. Instead of saying "I want to lose weight" say "I'm going to be vibrant, sexy, and fit!"

M-  Method Friendly -   You want to establish and refine practices that will allow you to get to your success; whatever that may be to you. For example, if you want to get in shape DECIDE to join a gym and shop for healthy foods.

B-  Behavior Driven -  Shape your behavior and reprogram yourself so that you are constantly making incremental progress towards what you want to achieve and create for yourself. That daily incremental progress will create a loop of motivation where you will become motivated to take action and motivated by the everyday wins to keep moving forward.
