Disconnected!
#1
Technology has no guarantee, it is a mechanical force and as much as we want more, we sometimes need to really look at the structure of this development. On Wednesday my internet was suddenly disconnected, I thought it was just a line problem it happens, the next day, same thing. Trying to contact my server was an impossible task, only getting those annoying voice messages. With no internet to find a solution and not able to talk to a ‘person’ this problem was getting frustrating, I felt that this company was financially failing, why would they ignore their customers. A friend done some research and yes this company crashed and left 30,000 customers in the dark, no answers or apologies.

Thanks to my choice of rural living, we are now awaiting re-connection through another company but have to deal with dial up speed until they can get to the exchange. This whole situation has been a wake up call, firstly to the fast pace of my day, trying to squeeze so much into my day, then my dependence on an artificial connection, how impersonal are we becoming by way of technology? My first instinct tells me that I am being ‘shut out or enforced to shut up’ I have been dealing with a negative energy for quite awhile, and forces that keep putting up barricades to my goals. I have no control over this internet situation; however I have control of the purpose of the energy sent to me, and welcome it for change. I could not have the global connection without this service; however I do not have to become it! But ask for your patience in the next 7-21 days for my standard service to return, if I am slow at returning emails please accept my apology.

The human race is loosing touch with common values thanks to technology. I take this opportunity to thank everyone who shares my life and have given me positive encouragement and for the friendships that have been established through my passion with astrology, thank you for changing my life in such a positive way.

Sorry to hear about your problems, AstroJewels. I was wondering what happened to you.  I guess we can chalk up another round of 'strange' computer problems to our members.  I hope things clear up for you soon and you are back to normal.

William,

Yes we have satellite but not many have it in our area and that makes it more than I want to pay. But when it comes down in price I am sure we have it, as I am told it is the best way to go.

Richard,

Well as you know I had a computer crash just before I was ready to come onto the forum, I agree that an influence is trying with all its might to stop the connection, unity and equality creates fear. But I always look at the flipside, personally I do not know much about the mechanics of a computer, we have a friend who is a wizard and always comes to our rescue. I think computers always give you some type of trouble. It is just something we have to deal with, and working with dial up is a test to my own issues because being on a life path of a double #1 does not provide me with much patience, I am extremely tolerant, but tolerance and patience are two very separate things, and dial up is so slooooow.

Thanks everyone for the replies, it will not be long before I am back to normal pace, and any challenge can only make us stronger, the higher you get up the mountain, the larger the view becomes.

It sounds like having dialup will be a good challenge for your lack of patience. I can imagine what it is like going from broadband to dialup. I had dialup for many years and it taught me to be patient. Now I have broadband and like you I would hate to go back. icon_computer

Dear Karen,

I did not know of your internet/computer problems. I am sorry to hear of it and I know things will work out. Whenever you need it, I could always pray for you or ask Oversoul to send you healings/blessings.

I think I also had some computer/internet problems a while ago but I tried not to pay attention to it too much for some odd reason(I know its symbolic of some reason or the other..you guys just made me realize I should pay attention to more things in my life...I have focused on other things instead)..which is strange because I rely on it to connect with others in a way I am not able to connect and also I rely on it to help me express myself in a way I have trouble doing so in 3d(journal writing).

Actually..if anyone needs it, please let me know. It would be great if we can offer each other this support as well.

I think one way to overcome the *impersonalism*(if thats a word), we should take the time to connect with someone outside of our lives...let people know that other humans exist..not just robots. We should also always work on getting deeper within ourselves and our connections to our Oversoul/God...as this theoretically could mean getting deeper with others even on a connection that lasts for just one moment.

I think even by starting off with a smile or a good gesture is good...

You struck my curiosity by making me want to ask what values do you think are deteriorating because of technology?

Also, I am curious by what technological units people use mostly throughout their days?
okay peace

all is well

Computers represent our abilities to convey and communicate our ideas in a fluid, global environment.  So, all issues stem from this.  I've had more computer problems than usual this year.  I believe there is a purposeful disrupting of communication to make people more isolated from like-minds.  However, our own mind-patterns are always the root cause of anything in our lives. :)

Richard,

It is a challenge but when this system refuses to cooperate I just turn it off, I am surrounded by opportunities at the moment, and require a plan, so I just go outside in the sun and handwrite my ideas, and it is all good. Physical problems are always easier to deal with, not sure if I will ever overcome my Aries/Mars instinct for impatience but I am working on it, and you all know why I may respond much slower than before.

PP,

I feel that common values are lost because of technology in many ways, firstly most corporations do not do face-to-face interviews for employment, you are judged by a piece of paper (and ask for it to be as short as possible), also many corporations let go of staff through email, what the! That is a coward’s act in my opinion. There are many situations but the one that stands out for me is when you are with/or you see two people together having coffee etc, one person rudely answers their mobile phone and starts talking to that person, you are left to look around and be ignored. A while ago I started my 9 year old, (who loves to write) with letters to my mum, we see my mum all the time and only live ½ hour away, but my mum puts little tid bits in the envelope and my daughter loves it, she said it was not fair that we all got mail and she did not, but now she does. I would also like to hear what technology people use in their daily life.

Monica,

I agree with you totally that the computer can make you isolated, technology can produce a mind-pattern which was not there in the first place this is mind control. You belong to the technological generation and that is a gift, my 18 yr old has this natural connection to all things technical, it is like an inbuilt instinct. I believe that all our computer problems create change and this is always a good thing, we upgrade, get a better system etc, and learn that this technology is limited and no comparison to our own being; because we are programmed to develop from challenge and our computers simply get thrown away and replaced.
