Do you care that, at some point in the future, your body will be dead?

Richard Wrote:Lots of people know because we have descriptions from people who have had near death experiences. We also have descriptions from people who can astral travel. Also psychics can see and talk to ghosts and shows the person is continuing without a psychical body.
What if it's all in their head?

Or, what if you were a psychic speaking with ghosts.. how can you know you aren't manifesting the clear image of a ghost, right in front of you, by the power of your mind?

Or, what if that ghost were some type of translucent life form that can take on any image.. and act like a deceased person, ..does that instantly mean you have a soul?

Or, how about a haunted house.. how can anyone know that a haunting isn't actually a phenomenon where a person dies and seriously screws up the energies of the universe in that spot so as to make a resonance of that person that echoes around  and manifests lights and whispers and an image of that person .. ?

A psychic can talk with the ghost. That's more than just manifesting a image of a ghost. If you talked with a psychic that talks with ghosts you would be convinced it's genuine. It's just like the TV show "Ghost Whisperer" that Jennifer Love Hewiit stars in. Jennifer can see and communicate with ghosts in real life. So the show is how she see's them and talks with them. I can give you a email address of a good friend of mine that sees ghosts too if you want and you can ask her questions about them. Let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Rich, manifesting a ghost from your mind means speaking with it too.

Now, I don't actually believe that all ghost stories are false, I'm sure there are ghosts, but when it comes to getting technical, my questions above cannot really be answered

I think I know what you're talking about. You're the type of person that doesn't believe things until you can experience it for yourself. You probably have a hard time believing in aliens and UFOs too.
Luckily I'm not that way. I go by intuition. Gut instinct. I take what info we do have and see if feels right and if makes sense. If it doesn't make sense then it's not likely true. Like what's is taught in religions doesn't make sense to me. What's taught in science doesn't make sense to me. There's more questions they can't answer then they can.

What? Then you didn't see my comment about the roswell aliens earlier in this thread, or the thread I made about UFOs.

Aliens have to exist. There are trillions of solarsystems. This doesn't mean a soul exists.

And even if I did experience it myself that a soul exists, how would I know that I'm not really just in a coma somewhere dreaming it, or am just a brain in a jar?

I can see why soemone would get angry over the thought of a soul not existing, especially if they had a terminal illness, because it is a threat to their existence because they want to continue to live forever and never say bye to their loved ones. No one knows, or maybe someone does know, like this whole forum

Like Richard, I go with my feelings, knowledge, gut, and do not rely on the words of scientists and religous teachings. The soul does feel right to me with my frame of reference and experience. I don't need physical proof to believe. I let myself be open to my feelings and energy.

A1, if you don't feel it, go with your gut and believe what feels right for you. I find feelings and beliefs change over time as we develop more and more life info. It took me a while to accept the soul belief but it does feel very "right" to me now.

I think one thing that shows a soul exists is some scientist say it is not possible for the human brain to contain all the memories that is does. That means more memory is being stored outside of the brain. So if that's true then a soul is the only logical answer.
