It's a bit funny, actually: After western scientific "skeptics" have argued for decades against the whole premise of astrology -- that a person's life is influenced by cyclical events such as the position of the Earth, moon, sun and stars -- Western scientists have come out and announced research that concludes the exact same thing!
In this case, the research is about asthma and the position of the Earth in relation to the sun. When a child is born on Earth when the planet is at a certain position in relation to the sun, that child will have a much greater risk of asthma throughout their life, researchers say. In other words, Western medical researchers are actually embracing the very premise of astrology.
Of course, you'd have to be a nut case skeptic to think life on Earth isn't influenced by the sun, the moon, the planets, the stars and Earth's relationship with these heavenly bodies. All you have to do is watch the tides, the seasons or the behavior of plants to realize that life on Earth is in many ways directly driven by astronomical events.
It's just funny to see Western scientists now coming up with this amazing "new theory" and thinking they're the first ones to have figured it out. Wow, gee, really? The time of year of a child's birth matters? Wow, that must have taken a billion dollar grant from the NIH to figure out, huh?
