ETHIOPIAN VILLAGE THAT WAS DESTROYED BY A UFO

Village of Saladare - photograph by Dr. Antal Makk

Dr. J. Allen Hynek received a letter and photographs from Dr. Antal Makk who was working with the United Nations in Etheopia.

“I want to inform you about a strange phenomenon that happened in the village of Saladare, about fourteen kilometers from Asmara on the 7th of August, 1970, at 11:30 A.M. They heard a noise coming from the direction of the nearby forest, which sounded like an airplane flying low. The noise increased to an earsplitting strength and they saw a red glowing ball, which swept through the village destroying houses in its path.

It uprooted trees, burned grass, but didn’t cause fires. When it left the village, it melted the asphalt on the road in an approximately two by seven meter area and broke the stone wall of the bridge to pieces.

Then it traveled farther about 150 meters toward a hillside where it became stationary and then hovered above the ground for a few seconds and then started to travel back almost the same route or rather parallel to it.

On its way back it destroyed other houses and disappeared almost in the same direction it came from. The total distance it traveled in view was about 3 kilometers there and 3 kilometers back and the whole show lasted about ten minutes.

Some people claimed it had a tree-trunk shape and the inhabitants of the other nearby village said it flew over their village with an earsplitting noise. According to them it was a ball-shape with a tail behind it.

The excitement was so great that we went out there three times to look at the village and I took about thirty photos and I am sending a few to you. It looks like a cannonball shot through the houses. Fifty buildings got damage, eight people injured, one little child died.

No tornado type wind because it didn’t carry away the tin roofs, they stayed in the same place and melted and distorted.

It had a source of heat. It melted the asphalt, metal objects, grass and bushes were burned, but without fire or flame. Its mechanical impact was tremendous. It went through the half-meter thick stone wall of the bridge and after turning back it still had the energy to do damage.”

This is an amazing occurance Rick. What on earth was this energy-ball and how did it appear out of seemingly nowhere in the middle of Ethiopea? I've NEVER heard of such heat damage not leaving a fire in its path. Freaky.

That's strange because I don't believe that any advanced vehicle would intentionally destroy houses etc.

It may not have been a craft - maybe a phenomenon of nature, some sort of unusual energy?

Whatever it was, that sucks that houses were destroyed.
