Earth Hour, what?
#21
Quote:I hope you are feeling better, glad to see you are earth aware, that is all it takes, there are no specific requirements or dedication, does your local council provide recycling bins? Or are products labeled to display whether they are made from a recycled material? It is small things that always make a difference. So what other suggestions do you have for people to become earth aware?

Thanks, Astrojewels, I am better.  Just thought it strange so many people reported being ill last week.

I live in the city where we purchase special bags to dispose of recyclables.  Many suburban areas supply special containers and collect recyclables separately.  Recycled everyday items like toilet paper and paper towels are a good value here and many items like Christmas cards, shoes, etc. can be found that are made from recycled products.  There are many ideas circulating in the consciousness movement about how to be more creative and less wasteful.

I honestly don't know what prompted my siblings to take the small measures I noticed recently.  My guess would be some public media campaign.  I doubt it was my influence.  I am just a different breed. I have long been passionate about Mother Earth and all her inhabitants.  Although I must say I have been shocked and appalled at the habits and attitudes towards trash that I have seen at a couple of sacred native ceremonies I have attended.  It is also unbelievable to me that people say they love their children, yet contribute to appaling conditions for their children to inherit.

My suggestions for helping people to become more earth aware would be to learn about and teach your children organic gardening and how to make your own compost.  Everyone loves homegrown tomatoes and other veggies.  (I have had to use my creativity to build little raised beds with chicken wire cages to keep small animals out.:)) If you don't have a yard or a balcony, grow something living indoors.

Observe and show your children and grandchildren the language and beauty of nature and her creatures.  Teach them to observe the seasons in nature and in life.  I love trees, especially in winter.  They are so beautiful when they are bare.  So graceful and expressive.  Every season has beauty.  One can make a ceremony of walking to the bus.

Astrojewels, I am so out of the box that I talk (telepathically) to the fairies.  I do not see them physically, but they have made their presence known to me many times.  More times than I can count, when I was outside cleaning up the yard, the wind has blown a plastic bag with a smiley face on it against the fence at eye level or to my feet that says Thank You!  The fairies have made their presence known in numerous other ways as well.

I have often wondered if there is any planet in the universe as beautiful as Earth.  Is there another physicial planet where you can sit and listen to the wonderful sound of the waves hitting the shore or enjoy balmy breezes? There is so much to love about this place.

SpiritVoyager,

I think we visit the same realms :D One day earlier this year I was outside and noticed that they were beginning to spew chemtrails . So I hooked up energetically with my orgonite devices ,said a little prayer and asked the sylphs to help out. Not long after my request  a sylph appeared  with a rainbow in tow. In a clear blue sky at that!  I wanted a witness and a pic so I fetched my husband ( a skeptic) who took a few pics .

Thanks for mentioning the sky beings Mercy Now.  I just realized I needed the reminder to acknowledge them also.

Isn't it awesome how much beauty there is on this planet?

Spiritvoyager,
I wish I could capture your essence and feed it to the world, I do not think you are outside the box, I grew up in the city, and there was not a great deal of nature around, but to cut a long story short, we ended up at a friend of my mothers for a short stay, she lived in the bush, and I was in love the first moment we arrived. I knew since I was 8 I was going to live in the country.
To understand nature is not just to be consciously aware, it is to become, you must sense the trees and all the animals, just like the indigenous people teach. You must have respect for the incredible selfless purpose that the ‘whole’ system constantly gives, it really is amazing.
Your suggestions are great, and I have always taught my children, but now I can say my 10 yr old, who learns environmental issues at school teaches me a thing or two, she knows all the names of the trees, birds an how to tell if they are male or female, their breeding habits etc.

MN you are the Orgone queen, I have said this for a long time, you should put your methods into a book and teach others how to engage their power just as you have. There is not enough information out there that describes how to use it affectingly.
