Electrosmog Detector Lets You "Hear" Electromagnetic Pollution from Mobile Phones and Cell Towers

By Mike Adams, February 2, 2009

Electromagnetic pollution is a growing concern among health-conscious, eco-conscious consumers. But it's a sneaky thing, trying to figure out how much electro-pollution is really riding the electromagnetic spectrum all around you. So how do you actually detect this pollution in a reliable way?

The Sensory Perspective company has the solution: They've invented a handheld, battery-operated mobile phone pollution detector that converts the electromagnetic bursts of cell towers and mobile phones into audible noise. By simply turning it on and listening, you can hear all the "electrosmog" that's being propagated through your home and your body.

It really works, too: I tested it by turning it on, then placing a call from my mobile phone. The instant I hit the call button, the bursts of electromagnetic noise kicked in, lasting for the duration of the call.

Curious to find out how a household cordless phone might sound, I held it near the device and placed a call with it, discovering to my astonishment that this produced even more electrosmog pollution!

Next, I'm going to drive by some cell towers and see what the noise is from there. Hopefully, we'll get a video made about this and be able to share it with you.

The device is available from a UK online retailer: http://www.detect-protect.com

This Electrosmog Detector can obviously be very useful in locating and eliminating sources of electrosmog pollution in your home, office or environment.

Disclaimer: I have no financial ties to the manufacturer or retailer of this device. One was sent to me as a sample for review, and I found it so fascinating that I had to share this story with you.

I expect big booming business, selling these kind of devices, but only to serious people.

But also, the most people do NOT want to believe electrosmog does exist.

It's like about 20 years ago when BANKS were warned for computer viruses and worms. In that time, banks denied that software viruses really do exist.

People only believe in things they can tolerate in their comfort zone.

It looks like they have some interesting protection solutions too.

I don't think so, unless they change their marketing strategy. These devices have been freely available for some years, my dad got one about 5 years ago when my mom started showing signs of electro-hypersensitivity, and incidentally we found it to be true that the cordless phones & their base-stations give off more radiation than a mobile.

I'm not sure about other countries but over here in the UK phone networks like to hide their transmitter towers inside other things, like church steeples or petrol station signs, so that we can be surrounded & not even know it! These detectors can come in quite handy to figure out where they are.

Where do people get the devices for free in the UK?

Sorry I meant freely available as in, you can buy them without problems, rather than being actually free.

I don't understand your point then. If they are selling them in the UK, why wouldn't Detect Protect be able to sell them?

Rob, Cell towers etc. are also camouflaged in the US. There is also the wiring running through walls to be addressed. especially in large building complexes.

Did the above devices help your mother?

Cordless phones have been baished from my "kingdom'' for several years now.

Richard: I meant I didn't think it likely they'll do a booming trade because they've been around for a while & are still pretty much unknown. Maybe it'll be different in other countires but I've noticed even people who know about the dangers of EM pollution won't take them too seriously.

MN: we managed to find the best spot in the house for her where she felt better, and it also convinced us to chuck the cordless phone. As for wiring we also had a detector for that too, and now I sleep with my bed pulled away from the wall (still not sure if this helps though).

I wouldn't mind digging out the EM detector & bringing it to office actually, we have a wireless router here which probably isn't doing me much good.

I understand what you're saying. Yes, it is the nature of most humans to choose to believe that nothing bad will happen to them. A good example is when beaches posts signs not to swim in the water because of a high count of harmful bacteria and the people go swimming anyway because they don't believe the bacteria will affect them.
