I have a few wooden elephants which are allegedly good luck, and have been thinking whether this good luck elephants thing is true or not, how many good luck animals are really good luck, and what things the elephant really brings on.
So far I'm thinking animals have much less to do with luck than people think, and am about equally as skeptical as to the connectivity of elephants + luck.
Anyway rather than luck I'm really just interested in the frequency of elephants and what they really mean.
Although 'elephant' shows up several times, looks like it hasn't really been discussed before on Hyperspacecafe. Elsewhere I have also heard no say on it. It may not be a particularly important frequency like the lion or the dolphin, but I feel it is nonetheless meaningful. After all, shouldn't we explore and get to know more frequencies?
Currently, I don't even know the archetype. Drawing on the qualities of these animals, I only have my own musings, but haven't gone too much anywhere:
It could mean the ability to mourn and release, or dwelling within mind patterns of sadness. It could mean good memory, or living too much in the past. It could mean anything from something of importance moving too slowly, to great gentleness/sureness/steadiness. It could symbolize anything from Earthliness to social relations. Elephants could emphasize over-sensitivity, or the ability of knowing how to handle what's in front of us. It could indicate unnecessary victimization or great/subtle strengths.
So, anyone?
