ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- A worrisome superbug seen in prisoners and athletes is also showing up in people who get illegal tattoos, federal health officials said Thursday.[/b]

Forty-four tattoo customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Vermont developed skin infections caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Hmm - I was thinking also in terms of needles - used for sedation, drug/steroid abuse, and tattooing.  It is possible for them to be contaminated, and purposely used in certain segments of the population for testing purposes.  I wonder if there are mental patients who show this too - considering how often they might get jabbed.

I was thinking this was somehow a way for them to be testing on some people.  Or just some way for them to blame people getting sick when it could be from something else, ie chemtrials or wotnot.

Aye, William, good point!  If there is aforethought afoot here - likely, the 'tattoo' factor would be the red herring in this particular plot.

Nice to hear from you again Xan-i,  There are alot of people getting Tatoos nowadays as a fad.  Gosh, remember when the biggest fad was for guys to wear flip flops...   Weve come a long way baby.....  Ok flip flops is a bad example but you get my ,...my....  Beer Bong anybody!

Ahhh I use to hang out on some beaches growing up....  The only people with tatoos back then were the bikers.   Some of the guys would get a pierced ear ring, but I know some young lads now with Pierced wot nots...  Now its the Tatoos, even my sister gots a couple.    Well it gives people something to read while standing around in grocery lines, " please sir, could you wait a minute while i finish reading your tatoos."  See ya

Lol. You do have a most wonderful sense of humour.

Of course, inadequate sanitation is a most accommodating partner in crime where MRSA is concerned.

My grandmother had a tattoo of a blue bird on her upper arm that she always kept hidden. I wonder how she would react to The Changing Cultural Status of Tattoo Art...

Yeah...all 4 of my girls have multiple tattoos as well as their significant others. My one daughter has a HUGE scene of a fairy by a river - in color - on her (or actually all over her) lower spine area. I still don't know how she managed to sit or lie for that one.
