Heroes The TV Show

I'm waiting for new 4400 episodes too. They haven't started them here yet.  Our Stargate and Stargate Atlantis series are also in hiatus right now. Probably won't get any new episodes until January.

The Jacket was also a type of time travel, just more...creepy. About a guy locked up in a criminal insane asylum and as a punishment is put into a straight jacket and slid into a morgue drawer for hours at a time. I won't go into any more detail here, because I don't want to spoil it for others. The main character is Adrian Brody - at least - if this is the movie I'm thinking of and everyone else is talking about.

was quite astounded at the impact that heroes' has over here with some old friends with whom I've come in contact with yesterday.

they were talking about it like it was a revolution of tv, going on about psychic phenominon etc... and talking about how real and possible it could be - like the old star trek gatherings.

i was amazed at how they could describe in detail the plot line of the show so far, about upgrading of DNA and trying to make the show a reality - even one mate said 'what would you do if you had super powers'.  i said 'first off, i wouldn't tell anyone, they'd probably think i've gone insane and lock me up'.  i then proceeded to tell him about the inate nature of schizophrenia, psychosis, bi-polar, multiple personality and how a show like this can affect people who are on drugs or who already suffer from such 'labels'.

he looked at me and realised what he was going on about.  he then laughed and said 'hahaha yeah its just a tv show, its not reality' and a confused look went over his face. i later found out he was still using drugs.

I'm really enjoying the show; it's exciting right through (tho' a bit gory in parts), however I'm not reading anything into it just yet - I'll see how it unfolds further!
