Highlights of Davos 2023

OffGuardian  /  Kit Knightly

The World Economic Forum’s annual week-long summit comes to a close today. You wouldn’t know that if you read the mainstream papers, who have buried it underneath coverage Ukraine.

But for those of us who were paying attention, it’s been a busy five days in Davos. Let’s take a look at some of the key talks setting the agenda for the coming year.
Distrust and Disinformation

Tuesday saw an epic double-whammy with the New York Times opinion editor Kathleen Kingsbury hosting “Disrupting Distrust” and former-CNN editor Brian Stelter chairing “The Clear and Present Danger of Disinformation”.

https://www.weforum.org/events/world-eco...nformation

Very much two sides of the same coin there. Essentially, “how to make people believe us” and “censoring people who disagree with us”

The Distrust panel is 45 minutes of the worst kind of corporate buzzwording you will ever hear. A chore to get through, but there’s definitely an unspoken fear – “How do we stop people turning on us as the economy collapses?”

The most interesting part is the discussion of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and how they can use identity politics to trick people into trusting them and – among other things – shill vaccines to poor minorities.

This leads to corporate polling company CEO Richard Edelman bemoaning the collapse of trust in NGOs:

“Right-wing groups have done a really good job of disenfranchising NGOs. They’ve challenged the funding groups, they’ve associated you with Bill Gates and George Soros, they’ve said that you’re big world people as opposed to what you are, which is local.”

According to Edelman, five years ago NGOs topped their trust rankings, now they are bottom. That’s a victory for the alternate media, who do diligent research on funding and policy sources for all the benign-sounding NGOs that pop up everywhere these days.

The Disinformation panel is much more direct, with the Chairman of the New York Times claiming in his opening remark that disinformation “maps to every other major challenge we are facing as a society”.

Most of the discussion you can predict. Post-truth this, censorship that. Repeated calls on advertisers to pull promotion money from platforms that spread “disinformation”.

But, if you listen to all 90 minutes of both talks – which I did, you’re welcome – you’ll notice a new recurring theme: Localisation. It’s repeated ad nauseum. People trust local news more,, local news is more applicable to people’s everyday lives, NGOs are successful when people think they are local. Over and over again.

Look out for a resurgence in “local news” as an answer to the proliferation of independent news. NGOs and foundations may well start pouring money into small local papers to create the illusion of community and independence. It’s probably already happening.

[NOTE: If you can stomach Seth Moultons monologue about teaching occupied Iraqis that propaganda is bad, without wrenching or spitting invective at your monitor, you are a stronger man than I.]
Vaccines. Vaccines everywhere

Not at all surprising this one. On Tuesday, we were treated to a panel including WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on ending tuberculosis, with the focus being on new “safe and effective” vaccines.

https://www.weforum.org/events/world-eco...-get-there

Apparently, no new TB vaccines have been available for over a hundred years, but now there are sixteen new products in development.

Kind of like coronaviruses, which were impossible to vaccinate against for decades, only for almost every pharmaceutical company in the world to turn around and spit out a working Covid vaccine in just over a year.

The good news, such as it is, is that at least those TB vaccines (should they ever hit the market) weren’t created, tested and approved in just three months. Because that’s the plan for the “next pandemic”.

Yes, we’re back to the “100 Day Mission” – the WHO’s initiative designed to create a system where any future disease outbreak will have a new vaccine ready to use in 100 days.

We know that #COVID19 will not be the last Disease X. That’s why @CEPIvaccines‘ 100-day mission is so important. Ambitious partnerships like this are crucial for ensuring that when the next Disease X arrives, the world is more ready than it was this time. #wef23 pic.twitter.com/dkW6qBrEcA

    — Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (@DrTedros) January 19, 2023

Yesterday another panel discussed the future of pandemic preparedness and the “100-Day mission”. It was an all-star affair, featuring the CEO of Pfizer, Tony Blair and Helen Clark, chief author of the UN’s Covid autopsy.

https://www.weforum.org/events/world-eco...t-pandemic

Clark mentions the WHO’s planned Pandemic Treaty and the reformed International Health Regulations, an important reminder that global legislation is very much on the horizon.

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla mourns the “politicisation” of the Covid vaccines and the national borders which limited their ability to spread their product globally.

But the quotes of the day belong to Blair, who gleefully announces a “whole new host of vaccines and injectables” are on the horizon, and that Covid has provided an opportunity to create “digital infrastructure”

    — Disclose.tv (@disclosetv) January 19, 2023

To be clear, 100-day vaccines are not possible. But that won’t stop them pushing this.

https://off-guardian.org/2022/03/11/real...-possible/

And finally…

Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly (of Lost and Ant-Man fame) chose an interesting way to end her career earlier this week, when she promoted Russell Brand’s Davos-themed live stream on her Instagram:

https://cdn.getmidnight.com/6908ab1f9a9e....38-AM.png

Within a day there were articles accusing her of spreading bizarre “conspiracy theories”.

https://thedirect.com/article/evangeline...-3-release

It’s hilarious, to be honest. Every year the richest, most powerful people in the world – corporate giants, politicians, billionaires and media tycoons – all get together for a week to talk about how they are planning on running the world, but pointing this out to people makes you a “conspiracy theorist”.

Other potentially revealing talks on the programme included:

Transforming Medicine, Redefining Life – In which the panel discuss, among other things, bioengineering and the “changing definition of being human”.
Revolutionizing Food Security – Pushing the myths of meat and climate change and the climate change agenda, as well as discussing “fortifying” foods and reforming farming.

World Economic Forum: Americans Must Be Stripped of First Amendment Rights “For Their Own Good”

Prepare For Change  /  Edward Morgan

The World Economic Forum has declared that the US First Amendment, which protects freedom of speech and freedom of the press, must be consigned to history in order to allow for a successful “reboot” of humanity.

Make no mistake, they hate us for our freedoms.

The internet is a major problem for the elites. They want humanity to live in a world where political theater like the fake arrest of Greta Thunberg this week in Germany is broadcast into the homes of millions of people, where everybody accepts everything on face value because there is nobody left to question the narrative and expose the lies.

We are living through a full frontal assault on truth and decency, a time when lies are peddled as self-evident truths and anyone daring to tell the truth about the real agenda of the elites is slandered, vilified, attacked as insane… or even worse.

Elites Warn of a Cyber Nightmare But Fear Free Speech
The Gateway Pundit  /  Joe Hoft

More from DAVOS and the WEC.

The first thing the WEC wants to do is to stop free speech. They know they cannot exist if the truth is available to the people.  They have to prevent any chance that the truth might spread to the masses.

FREE SPEECH – Is the greatest threat to their plans.

Big Pharma CEO Confronted At Davos Over C-19 JABS [Video]

Pfizer CEO Confronted At Davos Over COVID-19 Vaccine
“What About The Sudden Deaths?”

While attention is now firmly shifting towards the scandalous Covid-19 vaccine rollout (and top-down censorship campaign), Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla has been largely insulated from criticism by legacy media outlets…..

Until now.

Canadian outlet Rebel News caught up with Bourla this week on the streets of Davos, where they peppered him with a list of uncomfortable questions.

As Rebel CEO Ezra Lavant writes:

You know, there are hundreds of “accredited” journalists here at the World Economic Forum — the biggest names in news, from CNN to the New York Times. But you have to understand: they’re all here as WEF members, not to hold the WEF to account. They’re on Pfizer’s team. They would never ask Pfizer a tough question.

I really don’t think their CEO knew what hit him today.

https://www.rebelnews.com/every_question...ert_bourla

https://rumble.com/v265v7y--rebel-news-c...acy-o.html

Here’s a full list of questions asked via Rebel News:

When did you know that the vaccines didn’t stop transmission?
How long did you know that without saying it publicly?
Why did you keep it a secret that your vaccine did not stop transmission?
You said it was 100% effective then 90% and 80%, then 70% — but now we know that vaccines do not stop transmission. Why did you keep that a secret?
Is it time to apologize to the world? To give refunds back to the countries that poured all their money into a vaccine that doesn’t work?
Are you ashamed of what you’ve done in the last couple of years?
Are you proud of what you’ve done the past few years?
You’ve made millions off the backs of people’s livelihoods, how does it feel to walk the streets as a millionaire on the backs of the regular person at home in Australia, in England and Canada?
What do you think about on your yacht? What do you think about on your private jet?
Are you worried about product liability?
    Are you worried about myocarditis?
    What about the sudden deaths?
What do you ahve to say about young men dropping dead from heart attacks every day?
Why won’t you answer these basic questions? No apology?
Do you think you should be charged criminally for some of the behaviour you’ve been a part of?
How much money have you personally made off the vaccine?
How many boosters do you think it’ll take for you to be happy enough with your earnings?
Who did you meet with here in secret?
Will you disclose who you met with?
Who did you pay commissions to?
In the past, Pfizer has paid $2.3 billion in fines for deceptive marketing. Have you engaged in that same conduct again?
Are you under investigation, like you were before, for deceptive marketing?
If any other product in the world doesn’t work as promised, you get a refund. Should you not refund countries that pay billions for your ineffective vaccine?
Are you only used to speaking to sympathetic media, is that why you don’t know how to answer questions?

And of course, Bourla answered none of them.

Davos: Agenda is to Create a “New World Order”

The Liberty Beacon

Hyper-Partisan World is Hindering Progress

Paul Joseph Watson
A Davos speaker explicitly outlined the World Economic Forum’s agenda when he stated that the goal was to create a “new world order.”
The remarks were made during the annual elitist confab yesterday by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“Here at WEF…there’s a lot of discussion about what the new world order will be…how do we work towards that new normative international order that allows us to address our differences and disputes as the civilized world,” said Zardari.

    — Drew Hernandez (@DrewHLive) January 20, 2023

“I believe that at the moment we are in such a hyper partisan, hyper polarized time that we’re not going to be able to form that new Helsinki today, but going forward…we must form and improve our normative and international institutional order internationally so that we can address these complaints,” he added.

“I hope this time around, once we’re building this new world order or new rules based order, the voice of the global south and the developing world is included,” said Zardari.

Another speaker complained about countries valuing their own sovereignty over the interests of the “world order”.

The establishment media still treats the ‘new world order’ as a conspiracy theory that doesn’t exist, apart from when actual globalists use the phrase, in which case it does exist and is a good thing.

Davos Plans For The Next Pandemic — Suggests National Digital Infrastructures To Track Vaccination

The World Economic Forum’s Davos discussions often require some “reading between the lines” to understand what is really being said by the globalist participants, but not much interpretation is needed these days.  Ever since the pandemic event, along with the lockdowns and the attempts to introduce vaccine passports, establishment representatives have been far more open about their agenda and their intentions for the future.

After all, it was Klaus Schwab who called covid a “rare but narrow window of opportunity” to implement the “Great Reset” of the current economic and political order.  The past few years have shown that the Davos crowd still clings to the fading pandemic panic as the “good old days” when they could have had anything they wanted, including total centralization.

The globalists continue to refuse to address their many failures, but panels like the following say it all – They realize that the truth has hit the mainstream and far too many people are now questioning the validity of the restrictions, mandates, masks and the mRNA vaccines. All of these measures have proven to be mostly useless in preventing viral spread, and now the negative side effects of the vaccines are being admitted to, at least to a point. All in all, the pandemic was not the golden opportunity that Klaus Schwab and the WEF expected.

Their hopes and dreams now turn to a future pandemic, perhaps one with a far higher death rate that creates more exploitable public fear.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyX0hxJX5N4

Of special note in this panel, which includes former British PM Tony Blair and current head of Pfizer Albert Bourla, are comments made about the lack of unified agreement on political response. They do not go into detail here, but they may be referring to the refusal of some governments to pursue ongoing mandates and vaccine passports.  Public resistance to such actions led directly to apprehension among government officials as to how far they could push their luck.  Clearly, they decided they were playing with fire because many of these leaders backed off.  It was as if someone flipped a switch and the covid doom mongering suddenly slowed to a mere flicker of its former intensity.

The group concludes that global institutions in the future need to put constant pressure on governments and, ostensibly, constant pressure on national populations in order to get the results they desire.

By extension, Africa is mentioned a few times during the panel as an example of the need for “equity” in pandemic response.  What they don’t talk about is Africa’s lack of covid deaths despite around 65% of the continent being unvaccinated according to the New York Times world vaccine tracker. The African example as a control group for the unvaccinated has been a thorn in the side of globalists for the past couple years and obviously they want to change that.

Another very interesting comment is made by Tony Blair, who calls for national digital infrastructure for tracking vaccinations.  Blair suggests that to keep various national governments on board with the agenda, they would have to be convinced pandemic issues are “continuing issues.”

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021...acker.html

Albert Bourla addresses the possibility and challenges of producing vaccines in an even faster time frame to respond to new viral events.  His conclusion?  That regulators need to continue to keep doors open for Big Pharma in terms of expediency even when there is not a pandemic in play.  The average vaccine takes at least 10 years of study for safety and long-term side effects; the covid vaccines were developed and administered in less than a year under emergency authorization.  This new standard of minimized safety obstacles is what Big Pharma and the WEF want for all vaccines and drugs in the future.

Bourla then admits to something, in an offhanded way, that many people have suspected:  that the biggest challenge in the enforcement of mandates and widespread vaccination was public skepticism.  Bourla and others refer to this as the “politicizing” of the mandates, but it was really just resistance to authoritarianism, and it is something that frustrated globalist planning at every step.  This can only be a good thing.

At no point do the panel participants acknowledge the numerous studies showing the ineffectiveness of masking, the ineffectiveness of the lockdowns, the ineffectiveness of the vaccines, and the risks they entail.  The reasons for public resistance are not important to them, only the ways in which they can gain greater compliance during the next viral event.

The World Economic Forum & the World Health Organization Are Elevating Themselves Above the World’s Governments
‌‌Global Research  /  Dr. Paul Craig Roberts‌‌

“In the last three years, the common people’s exclusion from what is still sold as a democratic process has reached a pinnacle.” — Peter Koenig

As former senior economist for the World Bank and the World Health Organization, Peter Koenig has inside information.  He shares it with us here.

First, ask yourself how Klaus Schwab’s organization, WEF, and Rockefeller, Bill Gates, and Big Pharma’s organization, WHO, got the word “world” in their name.  The only organization on a world level is the United Nations.  As it name implies, it is an organization of independent nations. The nations speak, not the world, much less a private organization like the WEF and a privately funded organization like WHO.

Globalists who speak in the name of the world have already pulled a fast one on us by appropriating a name that suggests that two private organizations speak for the world.  Both of these organizations are in the process of acquiring this private authority over humanity. The WEF has been at it for 53 years, and the WHO since 1948 when it was founded by Rockefeller. In this current year, WHO has a big push underway to acquire authority over the health policies of every country. If WHO succeeds, this privately funded organization will be independent of governments and have no political accountability to people.  The same organization who lied and deceived with its assurance that the Covid jab was “safe and effective” is grasping for the power to impose worldwide whatever diktat it wishes.  Are you happy with this?

Both the WEF and WHO operate by inventing  threats and controlling their explanations, such as human-caused global warming and pandemics, the solution to which is the centralization of power and erosion of national sovereignty and accountability to the people.

For 53 years WEF has worked diligently to create the image of itself as the top club to which to belong.  They groom up-and-coming political, professional, and business leaders.  An invitation to attend a meeting makes the recipient feel special.  Those without invitations yearn for them. This works to create certainty about the rightness of the WEF agenda.  Attendees hear addresses that they have no capability of challenging and accept the ideas as they come from big names. After 53 years of this, the WEF has a large and influential following.

WHO has gone further into becoming an official world government organization by being brought into the United Nations system. If WHO succeeds in getting control over every country’s health policy, it will be the end of independent science in medicine.  Except for nuclear war, it is difficult to imagine a more disastrous development.

Imagine that you are a US Senator or a House committee chairman and you comprehend that these organizations’ agenda is to terminate national sovereignty.  What can you do about it?  If you begin speaking against them, exposing them, they use their vast network to cut off your political campaign contributions and to demonize you as a reactionary standing in the way of solutions to the world’s pressing problems.

The independence of people and countries has been moved far along the path to their demise.

Second, ask yourself how it can be that these two organizations that hyped the Covid narrative to the hilt can have any credibility now afterwards when every government’s official data show a massive increase in unexplained excess deaths following the Covid vaccination?  It is the vaccinated, not the unvaccinated, who are suddenly dying and developing illnesses.  Doctors also report a surge in cancer and a drop in fertility following the vaccination campaign.

Thousands of medical scientists and doctors have concluded from the evidence that the mRNA vaccines are deadly to many and cause a wide range of serious and permanent health injuries to many more.  Some of the most prestigious medical scientists and doctors in the world have called for the immediate halt to mRNA injections.  Yet, the US Food and Drug Administration has approved the injections for infants, and many parents remain so ignorant that they participate in the murder and health injury of their own children.

It is an honest question to ask how such insouciant, gullible, and trusting people can withstand the WEF/WHO onslaught.

WEF Davos – The New Sodom and Gomorrah
Global Research  /  Peter Koenig

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has reached a new climax. It apparently has become a hub for high-flier and high-priced prostitution, pardon, “Escort Services”. Like never before. This is amply covered by the international media. With exception of a few, the major Swiss media remain silent. Why?

Why is Switzerland still hosting this new Sodom and Gomorrah? Politely called the Chaos of Davos? The citizens of Davos dislike the WEF meeting ever more vehemently. It destroys not just their tranquility, but also their winter sport pleasure and business. Tourists stay away.

They do not want to be confronted with up to 5000 – or more – police and military. “For security” of course. Looking down a gun-barrel at every street corner is not pleasant.

In the last two to three decades – since the neoliberal ascent on humanity – any unpleasant imposition on the people of the world is, indeed, “for their own security”, and by inference, “for their own good”. That shuts up any critic. And it’s repeated so often, we start believing it.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content...0x248.jpeg

That the WEF has been an attraction for high-flying whores, who now for better blending in to the regular WEF attendees, appear in smart business attire is not new. But the WEF 2023 has reached new dimensions.

This new Escort High, plus every and ever-more dystopian themes that accompanies the WEF-magnates’ sexomania, may signal the end phase of the WEF. The world would be a much better place without it, and without the oligarchs and financial behemoths, like BlackRock et al, which support and amply fund WEF – invading Davos.

Not to speak about the millions of Swiss tax-payer money the government spends in support of the WEF’s annual meetings and police and military protection.

This man, Klaus Schwab, a megalomaniac who looks like a phantom from outer space and speaks like a humanity-hating monster, is so unpopular worldwide, it seems he himself doesn’t have a clue.

His unpopularity is perhaps best reflected by a reader’s commentary after Schwab’s speech at the recent G20 / B20 meeting in Bali: “I wish Klaus Schwab will get everything that people in the world wish him…” Say no more. It’s all bottled-up in these few words. See this.

Wouldn’t that be the moment to gracefully disappear and let the WEF noiselessly collapse – and vanish? After 52 years and 53 Davos meetings – enough damage was done. Go away!

Will the WEF have a well-deserved Sodom and Gomorrah ending – as religious history portrays?

While the global elite pretends tackling the world’s greatest problems – including gender inequality – the Davos summit is fueling a surge in prostitution. Escort and sex services are booming in Davos where political and financial titans gather during the WEF’s 53rd annual edition from 16 to 21 January 2023.

According to the Daily Mail

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...ckets.html

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content....29-AM.png

Sexual harassment by wealthy men at WEF is “so common” that female guests are advised not to attend events alone, the Austrian EXPRESS reported.

According to a 2020 report from the UK Times, women – even if they are accredited WEF attendees – are “routinely harassed” by the men who dominate the conclave. Indeed, the event began warning women that year not to go out alone after dark, “because if something happens with some big CEO, who is going to be believed? You or them?”

WEF’s female staff in Davos were warned to beware of accosting politicians and business magnates.

As one luxury Escort Lady said, “Believe me, you don’t want to go into litigation with them.”

For more details, see this and this and this.

Now on a more serious note. Criticism and even ridicule of the WEF’s dictatorial and dystopian approach to the world’s problems has reached in 2023 a new pinnacle. Though the words “democracy” and “freedom” are always in the forefront, they are hardly applied. They are merely the deed of nonstop propaganda for something that isn’t. And as Goebbels, Hitler’s Propaganda Minister, said already almost 80 years ago, “If a lie is often enough repeated, it becomes the truth”.

This false truth has brainwashed almost every Western citizen. We are being gradually enslaved while still believing we are living in a democracy. The WEF is part of the steady flow of propaganda but also a master tyrant, in the person of Klaus Schwab and his Israeli top adviser, “You useless eaters”, Mr. Yuval Noah Harari.

Switzerland boasting of “democracy”, if they were serious, they would have expelled Schwab and the WEF years ago, or even arrested Schwab for crimes against humanity.

Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy and his wife were invited to speak at the WEF, rather to beg for more money and weapons so as to “defeat” Russia. And yes, NATO, please help us, and make us a member of your war clan. The pair bashed Russia and especially President Putin with lie after lie, after miserable lie.

More war crimes were committed by the Zelenskyy regime, which massacred his own people in the Donbas area and elsewhere  just so he could blame the Russians for the bloodbath. Journalists on location who saw the truth were threatened to shut up, or else. Several “disappeared”.

Democratically speaking, President Putin should have also been invited to present his truth. He was not invited. With his presence, the WEF could have created a platform for peace. The WEF, true to its mission statement – “committed to improving the state of the world” – could have sponsored peace negotiations.

Instead, Schwab and his invited top political honchos facilitated more weapons, more killing machines, being shipped to Ukraine – so this dystopian government supported by a dystopian US / EU leadership – without any strategy to end the war, keep giving the most corrupt country in Europe, unconditional war assistance, sending endlessly without any criteria of “end-in-sight”, canons, tanks, and missiles, keep encouraging Zelenskyy to fight to the end, to the last Ukrainian, so to speak.

Thereby, doesn’t Schwab and all the other EU / NATO / US weapons deliverers become murderers by association; and shouldn’t they be arrested immediately and put on trial?

In the long-run, or maybe already in the short-run, the WEF could become a burden for Switzerland. It is already a burden for Switzerland – and the world.

Talking about dystopia and “burden” – for whoever has to listen to this nonsense, listen to the ridicule of John Kerry’s, former US Vice President and now special Environment Envoy for the US. Kerry’s words, “A select group of human beings have a plan for “saving the planet” and its almost extra-terrestrial”. See this short video (40 sec).

    — Daniel Turner (@DanielTurnerPTF) January 17, 2023

For God’s sake, let’s stop him from “saving the planet”!

The “Weltwoche” (Swiss newspaper) Chief Editor, Roger Koeppel, sums up the 2023 WEF event in his Daily Special as depressive, giving the impression we are living the worst times in our lives, humanity is fast moving towards a climate apocalypse, especially when listening to the US / WEF puppet, UN Secretary General Guterres. How can he have forgotten that since about 30 years we are listening to the same narrative – we are just before the final climate collapse – and for 30 years the collapse has not happened… See this (in German), you may also view below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihnXXpsFYws

The way the western WEF and lie-circus moves on – it is well possible that the Guterres-predicted apocalypse may happen in a form reflecting on the biblical legend of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Davos 2023: Whistling Past The Great Reset’s Graveyard
The Liberty Beacon

Tom Luongo | Gold, Goats, ‘n Guns

So here we are as Davos 2023 winds down and it’s pretty obvious, watching the proceedings, that their entire edifice built on a crude admixture of psychopathy and hubris is tumbling down.

And it’s not only because more of us can see them for what they are, cheap communists in expensive suits, but because there are stark divisions forming within their own ranks.

The problem, however, for most of the committed Davosians is that they still live in the wine-and-cheese-filled amniotic sack of this Swiss Alps version of Oz. They don’t see the gathering storm barreling down the yellow brick road as anything more threatening than a single mosquito is to a cow.

As anyone who has lived in central Florida or studied its cattle industry knows, a few million mosquitos can exsanguinate a cow in a matter of days.

So, watching the proceedings at this year’s Davos was fascinating because, for the first time, the sheen was gone. Too many people were seeing the walls of the echo chamber for what they were; old, shabby, and drafty rather than having the veneer of wisdom that comes with age.

Davos had come out from behind the curtain willingly to declare themselves the saviors of humanity through their Fuhrer’s nutty ideas about transhumanism, 15-minute cities, eating bugs, and renting your life from a central authority.

And it was easy to build a counter-narrative to this insanity that permeated into the zeitgeist by just pointing your finger and laughing at them.

If you want proof of just how far the Davos idea has traveled in the five years since I first called them “The Davos Crowd” the performance of this tweet of mine from January 3rd should do it.

https://twitter.com/TFL1728/status/1610280219050479617

My average tweet gets around 5000-8000 impressions, maybe 30-40 retweets, and a couple hundred likes.

I’m really pants at Twitter.

This thing is literally the first tweet of mine in years to ‘go viral,’ and shows no signs of letting up. I’m not patting myself on the back here, but rather pointing out what something like this represents in my little corner of the internet.

Hatred of Davos has broken containment.

The anxiety and fear these men have promulgated is now deeply embedded in people because it feels closer to the truth than what they were previously presented. With a relatively free Twitter these days, the opportunity for more containment breaks like this are rising exponentially.

And that is a very good thing.

Davos likes to talk in terms of the inevitability of their forecasted future. But that’s just a front. Psychopaths always double down in the face of adversity.

But I’ve noted a certain sense of panic and/or desperation from a lot of Davos’ lieutenants, like Blackrock’s Larry Fink complaining about how mean we all are opposing ESG or NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg exhorting everyone that more weapons to fund Ukraine’s war is the path to peace.

https://twitter.com/NATOpress/status/161...0669927448

— Oana Lungescu (@NATOpress) January 18, 2023

Note the use of “the” versus “a” in that sentence. When someone is telling you there is only one path forward, they are issuing an ultimatum… they are also lying through their teeth.

One of “the” paths to peace in Ukraine is in negotiating honestly with Russia. Ukrainian President and Schwab disciple Zelenskyy is out there saying nuttier things by the day, like now that he thinks Putin is dead while the US floats the idea of Ukraine retaking Crimea.

The fact that there has been not even a reasonable offer put on the table to the Russians to this point tells you that this war is policy and not an unfortunate happenstance of Russian belligerence.

But watch the video carefully and note the desperation on display from Stoltenberg. He knows the war isn’t going well for NATO. He knows that if NATO fails here he and all of this corporatist cronies personally lose their seat at the gravy train.

He also knows he will be sacrificed on the globalists’ altar if he fails to deliver in Ukraine. He’s Admiral Piett, swallowing nervously, to Soros’ Darth Vader.

Last year at Davos 2022 it was Soros delivering the rebuttal to Henry Kissinger’s call for negotiations. This Octogenarian clash of ideology and realpolitik was a kind of Rubicon crossing for all things Davos.

https://tomluongo.me/2022/05/24/davos-20...age-match/

{And I definitely got a lot of things wrong in the article I wrote about that, if you’re keeping score.}

By ignoring Kissinger’s pragmatism and embracing Soros’ belligerence Davos revealed itself as an out-of-touch echo chamber whose edicts are hurtling the world towards a terrible conflict, making their enemies’ job opposing them that much easier.

You know Soros has won the argument within Davos because they trotted out ol’ Henry to reverse himself on negotiations and embrace war which has all the earmarks of a classic communist struggle session.

I guess that’s why Soros announced to the world he didn’t need to go to Davos this year but would be at the Munich Security Conference next month to declare WWIII.

Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, regrettably I cannot attend the @WEF Annual Meeting in Davos this year as I have in past years. I plan to deliver a speech in Munich on the eve of the @MunSecConf. Details to come.

    — George Soros (@georgesoros) January 10, 2023

So, where are we now?

We’re well past the point of Peak Davos that’s for sure. When the guest list for this year was leaked I found it fascinating that many who’ve skipped it in the past would be there – US bank CEOs like JP Morgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon. There were just as many who have gone previously to plead for sanity – Putin and Xi Jinping — didn’t even phone it in.

It has been a fascinating week of announcements and headlines that paint a very ugly picture for Davos’ future. When you take them (and their timing) into full context it should be obvious where this is headed.

Here’s a partial list of the headlines from this week:

(Zerohedge)

Saudis Open to Settling Trade Outside US Dollar
New Zealand PM Ardern Announces Resignation
    Iran Joins Eurasian Economic Union
Iran’s Oil Exports Return to Pre-Sanction Levels
US Interested in Helping Ukraine Take Back Crimea
ECB Head Lagarde Says Inflation is Still Too High
Dimon Says Interest Rates Must Go Beyond 5%
Biden-Gate Gaining Steam (here and here)
Powell Nemesis Brainard Backs “Higher for Long Rate Policy”
Al Gore Trotted Out to Scare Us with Climageddon!
Morgan Stanley CEO, “Davos is an Echo Chamber”

But the clincher is this headline from The Guardian.

http://xn--mutiny%20erupts%20among%20wef%20staff%20over%20role%20of%20mr%20davos-yh67blc/

Most of these would be interesting at any time but that they all occurred while Davos 2023 was happening is mind-boggling. And to think that so many of the attendees there are still walking around as if the future was already written in their favor is equally mind-boggling.

I’m not about to speculate further about what’s really going on there except to say that if feels like something has fundamentally changed, likely for the better. Is Schwab on his way out after ruling the WEF for 52 years?

Is my theory that the NY Boys and others have finally had enough of the fart-sniffing eggheads correct and they showed up with a new set of rules to lay down?

Is that why Bill Gates wasn’t there?

Is that why the sycophantic Western press are running stories now that would never have seen the light of day if Schwab was still calling the shots?

Look, I’m not naïve, I know that Davos is a front for a bigger, older and deeper group of power brokers. Real bankers don’t have Wikipedia pages.

If Larry Fink is a lieutenant then Schwab is just a Colonel and it’s possible he’s being thrown under the bus now to protect the Generals.

But why do the Generals feel the need to cut bait now? As difficult as it is to believe, they may just be losing.

Sometimes things aren’t more complicated than they seem.

They took their shot and missed.

There will be no panopticon or cyber-pandemic. We’ll still drive normal cars, eat red meat, and live in homes with a modicum of privacy. Whether we avoid WWIII is a different story.

Maybe the depression we all fear is on the horizon has already been here for fifteen years and this is as bad as it gets. No mushroom clouds, no Grand Army of the Republic. Just a bunch of tired old inbred losers finally running out of runway and crashing into the ditch rather than flying off into the sunset.

They don’t believe their done yet. It is that gulf between their perception of potency and the reality of their impotence that will determine the rest of this horror show. Soros and his neocon crazies will go to Munich and push for more war.

They just might get it. Then again they may get everything they wished for… good and hard.

Davos may be ending in 2023, but the after-effects of their insanity will be with us for years.

WEF speaker touts technology allowing companies to monitor employees’ brains

https://www.naturalnews.com/wp-content/u...Energy.jpg

A speaker during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland has touted a technology that allows companies to monitor their employees’ brains.

Legal ethicist Nita Farahany of Duke University‘s School of Law remarked that wearable mind-reading devices are no figment of the future during her Jan. 19 talk titled “Ready for Brain Transparency” in Davos. She described these devices as akin to “Fitbits for the brain,” similar to Neuralink implants conceptualized by Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

The Iranian-American scholar proceeded to elaborate on what these devices look like. She told the audience: “These are headbands, hats that have sensors that can pick up your brainwave activity, earbuds, headphones, tiny tattoos that you can wear behind your ear.”

“We can pick up emotional states. We can pick up and decode faces that you’re seeing in your mind; simple shapes; numbers; your PIN [for] your bank account.”

Farahany also joined the WEF meeting’s “Transforming Medicine, Redefining Life” panel discussion on Jan. 20, a day after her talk. During the discussion, she emphasized that such mind-reading technologies ought to be integrated into “multi-functional devices.”

According to the Duke scholar, mind-reading technologies have the potential to solve potential problems in the workplace. “In over 5,000 companies across the world, employees are already having their brain activity monitored to test for their fatigue levels,” Farahany said. “We, as a society, should want that.”

Farahany cited the example of train conductors in the Beijing-Shanghai railway lines who “are required to wear hats that pick up their brain activity.” Some mining companies worldwide are also resorting to wearable devices to keep tabs on their workers, she added. (Related: Companies begin planting microchips under employees’ skin.)
Farahany: Wearables can be the “most oppressive technology”

The legal ethicist continued: “[While we] can’t decode speech using simple wearable devices, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot we can already decode.” This extent of data gathering, according to Farahany, will considerably increase “in the coming days as AI becomes more powerful [and] the sensors become more powerful.”

“Done well, neurotechnology has extraordinary promise. Done poorly, it could become the most oppressive technology we’ve ever introduced in a large scale across society.”

Thus, Farahany called for a “nuanced conversation” over the matter.

But according to Paul Joseph Watson of Summit News, wearable mind-reading devices could serve the bigger goal of the WEF – the combination of human intelligence and AI for censorship.

“Despite the fact that no one asked, the WEF is now advocating for the merger of human [intelligence] and AI systems to censor ‘hate speech’ and ‘misinformation’ online before it is even allowed to be posted,” he wrote back in August 2022.

“They want to merge the ‘best’ aspect of human censorship and AI machine learning algorithms to ensure that people’s feelings don’t get hurt and counter-regime opinions are blacklisted.”

Watson concluded: “In other words, your free speech will probably get censored before you’re even able to post it on social media. Some are calling it ‘preemptive censorship.'”

World Economic Forum panelists predict ‘catastrophic cyber event’ in near future

https://www.naturalnews.com/wp-content/u...-Skull.jpg

If you listen closely enough, the globalist power brokers who attend the annual World Economic Forum events tell you what’s in store for the planet, and some panelists dropped a huge hint at the last WEF confab last week in Davos, Switzerland.

Specifically, a group of panel members predicted that the world would face a “catastrophic cyber event” within the next two years.

A clip of Jeremy Jurgens, the WEF’s Managing Director and head of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, revealed what the globalist deep state has in store for we, the peons, in the near future, claiming to base the remarks on the results of his organization’s “Global Security Outlook Report 2023,” according to the outlet Valiant News.

Translation: The globalists can’t get the peons to give up their modern lives fast enough with scare tactics like “global warming” and “climate change” so they will crash the grid and individual economies to drive the masses into slavery by force.

“We’re here today to share the findings of the World Economic Forum’s Global Security Outlook Report 2023,” Jurgens noted, according to the outlet. “The most striking finding that we found is that 93% of cyber leaders and 86% of business leaders believe that the geopolitical instability makes a catastrophic cyber event likely in the next two years.”

The report “examines the cybersecurity trends that will impact our economies and societies in the year to come,” while it describes how businesses should be more prepared to face potential cyber threats. In addition, the report recommends an increase in hiring cyber experts based on “diversity and inclusion” as a “broad solution.”

You know these people are not serious when they instruct companies to focus on “diversity and inclusion” to beef up their cybersecurity rather than education, training, experience, and demonstrated competence — which means they are going to trigger the cyber event.

“Cyber talent recruitment and retention continues to be a key challenge for managing cyber resilience. A broad solution to increase the supply of cyber professionals is to expand and promote inclusion and diversity efforts,” an executive summary of the report says.

The WEF is “predicting” catastrophic global cyber attacks

    Pay attention.

    pic.twitter.com/Y2o0hJBF08

    — ALX ?? (@alx) January 18, 2023

It should be noted that this upcoming event has been planned for some time, as the organization has been warning the world for years about the increasing likelihood of devastating cyber attacks. WEF founder Klaus Schwab informed attendees and viewers two years ago that a “frightening scenario of a comprehensive cyberattack would bring to a complete halt to the power supply, transportation, hospital services, our society as a whole.”

“The COVID-19 crisis would be seen in this respect as a small disturbance in comparison to a major cyberattack,” Schwab added.

The report notes further:

Geopolitical instability, rapidly maturing and emerging technologies, lack of available talent, and increasing shareholder and regulatory expectations represent some of the significant challenges that concern cyber and business leaders. If the findings of last year’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook reflected the lingering impact of the pandemic, and the effects of rapid digitalization, this year’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook reveals concerns about an increasingly fragmented and unpredictable world.

The outlook, however, need not seem bleak. There’s hope for better understanding – and more effective action – in the future. The best leaders avail themselves of wide-ranging information and listen to all of their stakeholders, understand their role and impact, and exercise good judgement to achieve the optimum outcomes. These attributes are no less necessary in cybersecurity than they are in any other domain.

How will this attack occur? Most likely it will be couched in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, with the globalist West’s continuation of pouring weapons into Ukraine as the impetus. Naturally, Russia will be blamed because the end game is to destroy Moscow’s regime and boost China as the ‘factory of the world.’ A global competitor is eliminated and the globalist WEF elite get to make billions off of Chinese labor.

Hackable Humans at WEF: “We can decode faces in your mind, your PIN number to your bank account”

If you thought freedom of speech was worth preserving, next comes freedom of thought: perspective

Thanks to AI and the Internet of Bodies (IoB) ecosystem, decoding the human brain is already well underway, according to a World Economic Forum (WEF) presentation.

Five years after historian Yuval Noah Harari told the WEF that humans were hackable and that organisms were algorithms, Harari’s insights have been fully realized.

Thursday’s WEF Annual Meeting 2023 session on “Ready for Brain Transparency?” opened with a short video showing a dystopian scenario where employees’ brainwaves were not only decoded to determine their performance in the workplace, but also to determine whether they participated in illegal activity.

While the scenario in the video below is fictional, the technological framework is already in place.

“We can pick up and decode faces that you’re seeing in your mind — simple shapes, numbers, your PIN number to your bank account” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

“Artificial intelligence has enabled advances in decoding brain activity in ways we never before thought possible” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

The above video illustrates just one of the many dystopian scenarios that can occur when the human brain is no longer autonomous.

In her presentation at Davos on Thursday, Nita Farahany from Duke University explained that the technology to decode brainwaves already existed and was currently being rolled out in some use cases.

“What you think, what you feel — it’s all just data — data that in large patterns can be decoded using artificial intelligence” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

“Artificial intelligence has enabled advances in decoding brain activity in ways we never before thought possible,” said Farahany.

“What you think, what you feel — it’s all just data — data that in large patterns can be decoded using artificial intelligence,” she added.

And the devices to decode the human brain don’t have to be as invasive as a brain implant.

The devices can be as non-invasive as a “Fitbit for your brain.”

“We’re not talking about implanted devices of the future; I’m talking about wearable devices that are like Fitbits for your brain” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

“Surveillance of the human brain […] has a dystopian possibility of being used to exploit and bring to the surface our most secret self” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

"Surveillance of the human brain […] has a dystopian possibility of being used to exploit & bring to the surface our most secret self. It threatens fundamentally what our own self-identity is in some ways & threatens to become a tool of oppression": Nita Farahany, #WEF23 pic.twitter.com/1F7hNZt6kF
    — Tim Hinchliffe (@TimHinchliffe) January 19, 2023

Farahany would go on to say that while decoding the human brain had its benefits, it could also be used for very nefarious purposes.

“Surveillance of the human brain can be powerful, helpful, useful, transform the workplace, and make our lives better,” she said, adding, “It also has a dystopian possibility of being used to exploit and bring to the surface our most secret self.

“It threatens fundamentally what our own self-identity is in some ways, and threatens to become a tool of oppression.”

“We are no longer mysterious souls; we are now hackable animals” — Yuval Harari, World Economic Forum, 2020

Farahany’s 2023 presentation falls right in-line with what Yuval Harari had been saying for years at Davos — that “We are no longer mysterious souls; we are now hackable animals.”

According to Harari, “To hack human beings you need a lot of biological knowledge, a lot of computing power, and especially a lot of data.

“If you have enough data about me and enough computing power and biological knowledge, you can hack my body, my brain, my life. You can reach a point where you know me better than I know myself.”

“Just imagine North Korea in 20 years where everybody has to wear a biometric bracelet, which constantly monitors your brain activity 24 hours a day.

“You listen to a speech on the radio by the ‘Great Leader,’ and they know what you actually feel — you can clap your hands and smile, but if you’re angry, they know you’ll be in the gulag tomorrow morning.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOsKFOrW5h8

“Just imagine North Korea in 20 years where everybody has to wear a biometric bracelet, which constantly monitors your blood pressure, your heart rate, your brain activity 24 hours a day,” said Harari in his “How to Survive the 21st Century” speech at the 2020 WEF meeting.

“You listen to a speech on the radio by the ‘Great Leader,’ and they know what you actually feel — you can clap your hands and smile, but if you’re angry, they know you’ll be in the gulag tomorrow morning.

“And if we allow the emergence of such total surveillance regimes, don’t think that the rich and powerful in places like Davos will be safe,” he added.

“Biological knowledge multiplied by Computing power multiplied by Data equals the Ability to Hack Humans” — Yuval Harari, World Economic Forum, 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3czZpAHS-tk

The historian even came up with a “danger formula” for hacking human beings, which he believes “might be the defining equation of life in the 21st Century.”

That equation is B x C x D = AHH — which means Biological knowledge multiplied by Computing power multiplied by Data equals the Ability to Hack Humans.

“The power to hack human beings can of course be used for good purposes like provided much better healthcare,” said Harari in 2020, adding, “but if this power falls into the hands of a 21st Century Stalin, the result will be the worst totalitarian regime in human history, and we already have a number of applicants for the job of 21st Century Stalin.”

The Internet of Bodies “might trigger breakthroughs in medical knowledge […] Or it might enable a surveillance state of unprecedented intrusion and consequence” — RAND Corporation, 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0bXUxRqy8g

Aiding the process of collecting the massive amounts of data needed to hack human beings is the Internet of Bodies (IoB).

The IoB is an ecosystem of wearable, attachable, implantable, or consumable devices that connect the human body to the internet, much like the Internet of Things (IoT), but for people.

According to a RAND Corporation report from 2020, the IoB “might trigger breakthroughs in medical knowledge […] Or it might enable a surveillance state of unprecedented intrusion and consequence.”

Additionally, “Increased IoB adoption might also increase global geopolitical risks, because surveillance states can use IoB data to enforce authoritarian regimes.”

https://sociable.co/wp-content/uploads/2...s-RAND.png

The IoB is emerging from the so-called fourth industrial revolution, which WEF founder Klaus Schwab says will lead to the fusion of our physical, biological, and digital identities — transhumanism.

The WEF is fully behind widespread adoption of the IoB despite recognizing the enormous ethical concerns that come with having an unprecedented number of sensors attached to, implanted within, or ingested into human bodies to monitor, analyze, and even modify human bodies and behavior.

“After the Internet of Things, which transformed the way we live, travel and work by connecting everyday objects to the Internet, it’s now time for the Internet of Bodies,” wrote Xiao Liu, Fellow at the WEF’s Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

“This means collecting our physical data via devices that can be implanted, swallowed or simply worn, generating huge amounts of health-related information.”

“Surveillance of the human brain […] threatens fundamentally what our own self-identity is in some ways, and threatens to become a tool of oppression” — Nita Farahany, World Economic Forum, 2023

With the ability to decode brainwaves, humanity is on the cusp of what could be the worst totalitarian surveillance regime in human history.

What would you do if you woke up one day and your thoughts were no longer yours alone?

If you thought freedom of speech was worth preserving, just wait until they come for your thoughts, your feelings, your dreams.

In this nightmare scenario, anything you think can and will be used against you by the pre-crime thought police.

Mastering the Future: The Megalomaniacal Ambitions of the WEF

https://www.activistpost.com/wp-content/...-press.jpg

The fifty-third annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) brought together fifty-two world leaders, seventeen hundred corporate executives, sundry artists, and other personalities to address “Cooperation in a Fragmented World.” Fragmentation is the nemesis of the World Economic Forum and its United Nations (UN) and corporate partners. “Fragmentation” means that segments of the world population are not adhering to the agenda of climate change catastrophism and the precepts of the Great Reset.

The Great Reset, meanwhile, amounts to a hybrid state-corporate woke cartel administering the global economy (and by extension the world’s political systems) under the direction of the WEF, the UN, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the European Central Bank (ECB), and the World Health Organization, as well as top corporate decision-makers like BlackRock’s CEO, Larry Fink.

Lest we imagine that the WEF and its meetings merely represent the grandiose delusions of some ineffectual clowns, it should be noted that the WEF’s “stakeholder capitalism”—introduced in 1971 by Klaus Schwab, the WEF founder and chair, and Hein Kroos, in Modern Enterprise Management in Mechanical Engineering—has been embraced by the UN, by most central banks, as well as by the world’s leading corporations, commercial banks, and asset managers. Stakeholder capitalism is now considered to be the modus operandi of the world economic system.

In the 1971 book, Schwab and Kroos suggested that “the management of a modern enterprise must serve not only shareholders but all stakeholders to achieve long-term growth and prosperity.” The stakeholders are the compliant and complicit corporations and governments, not the citizenry.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, holds upwards of $10 trillion in assets under management (AUM), including the pension funds of many US states. In 2019, BlackRock’s CEO, Larry Fink, led the US Business Roundtable on stakeholder capitalism. CEOs from 181 major corporations redefined the common purpose of the corporation in terms of Schwab’s brainchild, stakeholder capitalism, signaling the supposed end of shareholder-driven capitalism. In his 2022 letter to CEOs, Fink made BlackRock’s own position on investment decisions quite clear. “Climate risk is investment risk,” Fink declared. He promised a “tectonic shift in capital,” an increased acceleration of investments going to “sustainability-focused” companies.

Fink warned CEOs: “And because this will have such a dramatic impact on how capital is allocated, every management team and board will need to consider how this will impact their company’s stock”(emphasis mine). According to Fink, stakeholder capitalism is not an aberration. Fink provides evidence of stakeholder capitalism’s woke imperative in his denial of the same: “It is not a social or ideological agenda. It is not ‘woke.’ It is capitalism.” This definition of capitalism would certainly have come as news to Ludwig von Mises.

Fink sits on the board of trustees of the WEF, along with former US vice president Al Gore; IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva; ECB president Christine Lagarde, and Canadian deputy prime minister and minister of finance Chrystia Freeland, among others.

In his 2023 welcoming remarks and special address, Schwab pointed to the multiple crises facing the world: “the energy transformation, the consequences of covid, the reshaping of supply chains are all serving as catalytic forces for the economic transformation.” Incidentally, these are all factors that the WEF has promoted and/or exacerbated. And together they have added to the “high inflation, increasing interest rates, and growing national debt” that Schwab also decried.

Schwab pointed to the problem of social and geopolitical fragmentation and “a messy patchwork of powers,” alluding to the war in Ukraine. But Schwab also bemoaned “large corporate and social media powers, all competing increasingly for power and influence. As a result, the trend is again moving toward increased fragmentation and confrontation”—no doubt referring, at least in part, to the recent takeover of Twitter by Elon Musk, the loss of a major platform for propaganda and censorship. Naturally, Schwab referred to “climate change” and “viruses” as existential threats that could lead to “the extinction of large parts of our global population.” The question is whether “climate change” and “viruses” or rather the responses to these supposed menaces will be the cause of mass extinctions.

But “the most critical fragmentation” threat, Klaus argued, is posed by those who “go into the negative” and hold a “critical and confrontational attitude” to the Davos agenda—those with the temerity to oppose a global agenda of climate change catastrophism, with its attendant control over production and consumption and the virtual elimination of property and property rights for the vast majority.

A central issue that the fifty-third annual meeting addressed was “the Current Energy and Food Crises in the Context of a New System for Energy, Climate and Nature.” The theme accords with the WEF’s earlier and repeated claims that the agricultural supply chain is too “fragmented” for “sustainable” farming. “A resilient, environmentally-friendly food system will require a shift away from our current fragmented supply chains,” wrote Lindsay Suddon, chief strategy officer of Proagrica, in 2020. In Suddon’s and many other WEF papers, the “fragmentation” refrain is repeated. Sustainable farming cannot be achieved under the “fragmented” agricultural conditions that currently obtain.

One paper—entitled “Can Collective Action Cure What’s Ailing Our Food Systems?,” part of the 2020 WEF annual meeting—argued that fragmentation represents the ultimate barrier to sustainability:

As the heads of leading multilateral and commercial agricultural finance institutions, we are convinced that fragmentation within the current food systems represents the most significant hurdle to feeding a growing population nutritiously and sustainably.

Written by Wiebe Draijer, then chairman of the managing board at Rabobank, and Gilbert Fossoun Houngbo, the director general–elect of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the paper was quite telling. It warned that unless fragmentation is addressed, “we will also have no hope of reaching the Sustainable Development Goal of net zero emissions by 2050, given that today’s agricultural supply chain, from farm to fork, accounts for around 27% of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.”

Rabobank is one of the financial sponsors of the WEF’s Food Action Alliance (discussed below). On its website, Rabobank notes that it operates in the Netherlands, serving retail and corporate clients, and globally, financing the agricultural sector. The ILO is a UN agency that sets labor standards in 187 countries.

What interests could an international bank and a UN international labor agency have in common? According to their jointly authored paper, they have in common a resolve to eliminate fragmentation in agriculture. The banking interest in defragmentation is to gain a controlling interest in fewer and larger farms. The labor union management interest is to have more workers under its supervision and control. The banking and labor interests combined result in large farms worked by organized farm laborers—nonowners—under the controlling interest of the bank. A bonus rationale (more likely the main one) for this “scheme” is that the sustainable development goals (SDGs) of the UN’s Agenda 2030 can thereby more easily be implemented across “agricultural value chains and farming practices.” The authors conclude: “Most critically, we need to aggregate opportunities, resources and complementary expertise into large-scale projects that can unlock investment and deliver impact” (emphasis mine). “Collective action” is the “cure.”

In terms of agriculture, that is, “fragmentation” means too many discrete and disparate farms. The solution to this problem is consolidation, or the ownership of agricultural assets by fewer and fewer entities. Enter Bill Gates in the US. The “large-scale projects” will be owned by those who can afford to abide by the European Commission’s (EC) Farm to Fork Strategy. “The Farm to Fork Strategy is at the heart of the European Green Deal.” The goal of the European Green Deal is “no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050.” (More on the Farm to Fork Strategy and its effects on hunger and starvation below.)

The issue of food supply was addressed in a session entitled “Sustainably Served.” The summary caption for the session notes that “nearly 830 million people face food insecurity and more than 3 billion are unable to afford a healthy diet. Challenges to human and planetary health have been further compounded by rising costs, supply chain disruptions and climate change.”

The highlight of the “Sustainably Served” panel, which otherwise amounted to virtue signaling, came in the form of questions posed by an audience member, “Jacob, from America”:

I want to ask a question about food production. Last year the Dutch government announced harsh restrictions on the use of nitrogen fertilizers. Such restrictions forced many farmers to put much of their land out of production. And these policies led to 30,000 Dutch farmers protesting these government policies. And this was being done at a time when food production was already being severely curtailed because of the war in Ukraine. My questions are, one, does the panel support similar policies being implemented throughout the world? And do you support the Dutch farmers who are protesting? Do not such strict policies leading to reduced food production ultimately harm the poorest people of the world and exacerbate the problem of malnutrition?

The questioner was one of four, yet his questions dominated the rest of the session and led the moderator, Tolu Oni, and panelist Hanneke Faber, the president of nutrition at Unilever, which is based in the Netherlands, to become quite defensive. The latter replied:

I am Dutch, and our business is based in Holland. It’s a very difficult situation in Holland. I have a lot of sympathy for the farmers who are protesting, because it’s their livelihoods and their businesses at risk. But I also have a lot of sympathy for what the government is trying to do, because the nitrogen emissions are way too high. . . . So, something needs to be done. . . .

But it’s a very Dutch problem. I don’t think that you have to worry that those same solutions will have to go somewhere else.

This last statement is belied by the fact that the Netherlands is the headquarters of the WEF’s Food Action Alliance program and the site of the Global Coordinating Secretariat (GCS) of the WEF’s Food Innovation Hubs. Launched at the Davos Agenda meeting in 2021, the Food Innovation Hubs have as their goal alignment with the UN Food Systems Summit: “The role of the GCS will be to coordinate the efforts of the regional Hubs as well as align with global processes and initiatives such as the UN Food Systems Summit.” And the stated goal of the UN Food Systems Summit is to align agricultural production with Agenda 2030’s SDGs: “The UN Food Systems Summit, held during the UN General Assembly in New York on September 23 [2021], set the stage for global food systems transformation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.”

“Sustainability” and “sustainable development” do not mean, as the words seem to suggest, the ability to withstand shocks of various kinds—economic crises, natural disasters, etc. They mean development constrained by utopian, unscientific environmentalist imperatives, inclusive of reduced production and consumption in the developed world and the thwarting of development that would result in the production of additional GHGs in the developing world. In terms of agriculture, this entails a reduction in the use of nitrogen-rich fertilizers and their eventual elimination and the phasing out of methane- and ammonia-producing cattle. In the Netherlands, the Food Hubs initiative has already led to the government’s compulsory buyout and closure of as many as three thousand farms, which will lead to dramatically reduced crop yields from the world’s second-largest exporter of agricultural products.

The situation in the Netherlands is also part of the European Commission’s Farm to Fork Strategy. Under the Trump administration, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) found that adopting the plan would result in a decline in agricultural production of between 7 percent and 12 percent for the European Union, depending on whether the adoption is EU-wide or global. With EU-only adoption, the decline in EU agricultural production was projected to be 12 percent, as opposed to 7 percent should the adoption become global. In the case of global adoption, worldwide agricultural production was projected to drop by 11 percent. Further, the USDA reported:

The decline in agricultural production would tighten the EU food supply, resulting in price increases that impact consumer budgets. Prices and per capita food costs would increase the most for the EU, across each of the three scenarios [a middle scenario of adoption of Farm to Fork by the EU and neighboring nation-states was included in the study]. However, price and food cost increases would be significant for most regions if [Farm to Fork] Strategies are adopted globally. For the United States, price and food costs would remain relatively unchanged except in the case of global adoption.

Production declines in the EU and elsewhere would lead to reduced trade, although some regions would benefit depending on changes in import demand. However, if trade is restricted as a result of the imposition of the proposed measures, the negative impacts are concentrated in regions with the world’s most food-insecure populations. . . .

Food insecurity, measured as the number of people who lack access to a diet of at least 2,100 calories a day, increases significantly in the 76 low- and middle-income countries covered in our analysis due to increases in food commodity prices and declines in income, particularly in Africa. By 2030, the number of food-insecure people in the case of EU-only adoption would increase by an additional 22 million more than projected without the EC’s proposed Strategies. The number would climb to 103 million under the middle scenario and 185 million under global adoption. (emphasis mine)

Thus, we see that “sustainably served” means sustainably starved.

Another panel of note was “Stewarding Responsible Capitalism,” which featured Brian T. Moynihan, CEO of Bank of America and chair of the WEF business council, among others. An arch proponent of stakeholder capitalism, Moynihan suggested that companies that do not meet environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria will simply be left behind. No one will do business with such companies, he said.

Moynihan’s comments revealed the extent to which stakeholder capitalism and the metric for measuring it, the ESG index, have penetrated commercial banking. In fact, over three hundred major banks are signatories of the UN’s “Principles for Responsible Banking,” “representing almost half of the global banking industry.” Meanwhile, forty-seven hundred asset management firms, asset owners, and asset service providers have signed the UN’s six “Principles for Responsible Investment.” These principles are entirely focused on ESG compliance and meeting the UN’s Agenda 2030 sustainable development goals. ESG indexing now pervades every aspect of banking and investment businesses, including what companies they invest in, how they adhere to ESG metrics themselves, and how they cooperate with competitors to promote ESGs. Thus, the goal of the principles is to universalize ESG investing. ESG indexing raises the cost of doing business, starves the noncompliant of capital, and creates a woke cartel of preferred producers.

In the “Philanthropy: A Catalyst for Protecting Our Planet” session, US climate envoy John Kerry suggested that he and the people at Davos were “a select group of human beings, [who], because of whatever touched us at some point in our lives, are able to sit in a room and come together and actually talk about saving the planet.” Betraying the religious, cultlike character of the Davos group, Kerry suggested that his and others’ anointment as saviors of the planet was “almost extraterrestrial.” If you tell them you are interested in saving the planet, “most people,” Kerry continued, “they think you are a tree-hugging leftie liberal do-gooder.” But I submit that “most people” think Kerry and his ilk are not do-gooders at all but rather control freaks and megalomaniacs bent on controlling the world’s population.

On other panels, the speakers stated that eating meat, driving cars, and living outside the bounds of fifteen-minute cities should be disallowed.

In short, with the Davos agenda, we are confronted with a concerted, coordinated campaign to dismantle the productive capabilities in energy, manufacturing, and farming. This project, driven by elites and accruing to their benefit, is amounting to the largest Great Leap Backward in recorded history. If it is not stopped and reversed, it will lead to economic disaster, including dramatically reduced consumption and living standards. And it will almost certainly result in more hunger in the developed world and famines in the developing world. WEF chairman Schwab may outdo Chairman Mao. If we let him.
