Have you actually watched The Secret? If you have you wouldn't need to be asking all these questions.

funny thing happened to me last night, my step dad gave my brothers 5 $1 scratch off lottery tickets and i was telleing my brother to have a positive mind set while he scratched them and my step dad was attemping to make fun of me for telling my brother to think this way(he is a negative person) so, my step dad told my brother to give me a lottery ticket and he did. and i ended up winning $12, just goes to show that a little bit of positiveity can go a long way

This seems to connect with the article from this thread in Esoteric Knowledge about the woman who went in for a tarot reading and was given the numbers that allowed her to win big bucks in the Lotto:
http://www.hyperspacecafe.com/forum28/2038.html Could this be evidence of the law of attractoin at work? I'm always interested in these types of success storeis. You have to wonder if the woman going in for the reading already had strong success consciousness so the tarot cards just reflected that back at her. Speaking of which, there's this woman who claims to be revealing a lot of inner circle law of attraction stuff. The lipstickMystic. Know her stuff at all? She's selling the book at: http://www.free-daily-affirmation.com Not sure whether to buy as I've been burned by this stuff before. The Hippo Man

Okay, impulse buy here, but I bought the book.
It's good. Cuts to the chase about getting your affirmations goin gthe right way. And then she has a big section about problems people frequently encounter wen they try to do affirmations. Helped me see how some of my past affirmations weren't really constructed clearly. I think I will try some of her suggestions and see if they improve my luck. The Hippo Man

The four elements is talked about in a few reality manifestating books just like her book covered. These four elements deal with a certain way of thinking but you need them all in order for the manifestation to occur. One very successful book amoung manifestation circles in the 1920s or 1910s mentioned all four must-do tasks for the affirmation to come true but he was also successful of covering up any esoterism behinds that. He reasons that the only supernatural thing is that the Universe or God gives you what you want when you try your best such as in all these ways. It is funny that I now recognize that his methods were exactly the 4 elements.
While working on my manifestation theories I had an intuitive led that the 4 elements were required. Afterall, the ancient greeks and other civilizations believed they were the crucial blocks of reality. I just did not know how to use all four elements or thinking so I turned to tattwa symbolisms which were had archetypes for all four elements. I would visualize all four archetypes for my manifestation and funny enough there was a website that had a manifestation procedure with those archetypes. I suggest this book because not only it covers the esoterism or science behind the laws of manifestation such as the laws of attraction and letting go when you feel the affirmation is "well cooked", but it covers many of the same issues most people face with affirmations, such as self-sabotage, doubt, not keeping it a secret, focusing on only one affirmation. Lipstick has been a spiritual consultant for at least 10 years. Some of her work agrees with Stewart's like that white light does not protect you against contrary belief: http://www.lipstickmystic.com/articles/p...t_not.html I also purchased the book because I felt it was authentic. Of course I cannot testify if my affirmations are successful because I'm starting with huge manifestations. I already can perform small manifestations on a daily basis just by thinking of something I really want to see and then completely focusing on the outside world and forgetting I ever thought of it.

Jack Canfield, author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul," who met W. Element Stone, gave it all out in the Secret . His very specific instructions are similar to Lipstick Mystic's book:
"Decide what you want, believe you can have it, believe you deserve it, believe it's possible for you, and then, close your eyes, everyday, for several minutes, and visualize having what you already want, and feeling the feelings of already having it. Come out of that and focus on what you're grateful for already. And really be - enjoy it. Okay? Then go into your day, and release it into the Universe. And trust that the Universe will figure out how to manifest it." (44:17) I realize what Jack Canfield was referring to and I thought I had to make it more practical and simplified here: I believe for a certain portion of your day you should devote your attention to acting like you already have what you wanted. This means you normally would visualize, feel, and physically act out. It is hard to know how something is when you've never achieved it yet. But it's possible since some people's career is build around that. That's why you pretend you're an actor and you study how it would feel from reading books, reading blogs, watching movies, creative writing, writing a story, about the circumstance or person you want to be. Then for that time of the day, just play as an actor. Altough you're writing affirmations or remaining idled, your body is not technically acting, your mind and all of your other senses are. Think of it this way: Play as an actor sometimes, or the Universe will play you. Then you let reality hit you back again for the rest of the day, but avoid thoughts that go against what you want. If you can't help but to think of what you don't want because it's continually in your face, try to compensate for every negative thought or focus only on what you want. Ultimately, you let go but if you can't then you have to play this little throw and catch game with positive thoughts and it will still work though. Like Lipstick Mystic said, even after writing the affirmations you have to learn to let go. When you feel there is no need to write the affirmations, then stop writing them and let the days or weeks unfold. These ideas come from reading lipstick mystic's book, rewatching the secret, and trying to come up with a more simplified process.

More from Jack Canfield:
[Show a quote from W. Element Stone: "Whatever the mind of man can conceive, it can achieve"] 45:38 ''When I was working with Jones, he said, "I want you to achieve a goal that is so big that when you achieved it, it would blow your mind, and you would know it's only because of what I've taught you, that you would have achieved this goal". Well, at that time, I was making about 8,000 dollars a year, and for some reason I wanted something that was very measurable, so I said:"I want to make a hundred thousands dollars a year." Now I had no idea of how I can do that. I thought of no strategy, no possiblity, but I just said, "I'm gonna declare that; I'm gonna believe it; I'm gonna act as if it's true; and release it." And so I did that. And one of the things he taught me was that everyday, to close your eyes, and visualize, the goals, as if they're already achieved. And I had actually made a hundred thousand bill that I put on the ceiling [shoot: hands write over a dollar bill]. So the first thing that I see when I woke up, I look up, and there it was, and it would remind me that this was my intention. And then, I would close my eyes, and visualize having this hundred thousand dollars a year lifestyle. And interestingly enough, nothing major happens for about 30 days. I didn't have any great breaks or ideas, and all the sudden I wwas in a shower, and I had a ... [idea comes into his head].''
