A PERVERT was facing jail yesterday after a dead relative of one of his victims grassed him up to a psychic.
Medium Patrick Hutchinson was doing a live show in a pub when he got a message from the spirit world from the grandmother of a 19-year-old girl in the audience.
He was stunned when the gran said the girl had been abused a decade ago and the fiend was still at large.
Patrick said the old lady told him: ââ¬ÅYouââ¬â¢ve got to ask her about the man who lived on the estate when she was nine.ââ¬Â
The 45-year-old psychic didnââ¬â¢t want to raise the issue in front of other people ââ¬â but the dead woman insisted.
Patrick said: ââ¬ÅThe gran wouldnââ¬â¢t let it go.
In the end I turned to the girl and said, ââ¬ËI donââ¬â¢t want to upset you, but your gran is here with me and sheââ¬â¢s telling me that something very disturbing happened to you as a child, and you need to talk about the abuse.ââ¬â¢
ââ¬ÅThe girl burst into tears, and rushed out of the room.ââ¬Â
She later told her mum ââ¬â who was with her at the show ââ¬â what had happened and they went to the police.
Days later detectives arrested Terrence Dunstan, 61.
He was charged with abusing three girls aged nine to 11 between 1997 and 2001.
One of them was a 20-year-old who had also been at the pub show with the girl.
All three had visited Dunstan separately at his home in Morley, Leeds.
Dunstan denied the charges. But he has been convicted and warned he faces jail when he is sentenced in July.
Patrick met the girlââ¬â¢s family at the trial in Leeds.
He said: ââ¬ÅThe girlââ¬â¢s dad came and gave me a pat on the back, and said thanks for bringing everything out into the open.
ââ¬ÅBut itââ¬â¢s the girlââ¬â¢s gran who really deserves all the credit.
ââ¬ÅPeople might say sheââ¬â¢s dead but sheââ¬â¢s the one who came back, and got this evil man put away behind bars, where he belongs.ââ¬Â
