I came across this story and thought it was interesting that MTV is now using the all-seeing eye.

it figures that MTV would use such a symbol, if you can stomach watching any of their programs that promote fakeness, materialism and just being all around rotten at the core (my sweet sixteenicon_wallbash) that are designed to dissociate you from your self and just join the other sheep in their march to nothingness.

I liked MTV back when they were new and played only music. Now MTV is all garbage. It’s all geared to programming the youth of the world. It’s a little scary that young people love the way MTV is now. It shows you what their mind patterns must be like to like that crap.

Just like the news usually shows bad news and rowdy teenagers, MTV feeds thirteen year old minds with the images of parties and sex because it is profitable. Those are my feelings.

About the TV news: There is a part in our brain that enjoys the bad news and that's the real reason why their ratings jump up. Adults generally forget what it means to be a teenager and stereotype teenagers because thought schemes are a more efficient way of perceiving things and people they do not understand. So it becomes more profitable for the news to give adults those stereotypes of rowdy teenagers and by triggering intense feelings often associated with such bad perceptions. At some level, adults feel unjust that their generation of teenagers will soon be handed the world.

About MTV: Most preteenagers at the age of 12, 13 and 14, feel confused about their identities. So as social creatures, they look for ways to act from older teenagers. Moreover, the partying they see on the screen agrees with their natural feelings to rebel (since at that age they often need more emotional support from their parents and they do not get it); Or, it lets them escape from their confusing lives and just feel everything is right for just a moment. As these teens grow older, they may still enjoy MTV because guys become addicted to sex stimulation from the music videos and girls have become so sexualized they have developed a subconscious obsession with that form of entertainment (for instance, on the conscious level, most generally believe being sexy is beautiful; that entertainment becomes their veracious experiences because of their poor self image which is perpetuated by impossibly skinny and photoshopped models - But I digressed.). Or more generally, women and men have grown comfortable with the types of cultured-"sophisticated", fast-pace, mainstream music. More intelligent couples who are generally in the 20-40 age range will watch MTV because they can spot the ridiculous and god-awful-false satires and they find it funny.
