I was thinking tonight about the life cycle of a monarch. Egg-caterpillar-pupa-butterfly and how the cycle is constantly changing form and recreating the the transformation from death to life to metamorphosis only to begin again while following patterns of migration from north to south and then south to north.
While thinking about this cycle, I began to question the constant cycles of death, rebirth and metamorphosis in my own life. It's as if I am in continuous flux, changing, evolving and repeating the cycle.
Since the entire cycle is short lived, I am also pondering the type of programming that would be instilled for a monarch to constantly change form. It would seem to me that there would have to be many "triggers" to activate the ongoing cycle and that the "code" would have to "loop" as the cycle of a monarch is continuous.
