Mary Hyre was the Point Pleasant, West Virginia correspondent for The Messenger, an Athens, Ohio newspaper. Her reporting of Mothman sightings in conjunction with the flurry of UFO sightings within the area seemed to draw some unwanted attention to her.
She had numerous run ins with Men In Black.
On one such occasion in 1968 she was able to get the license plates of car the MIB were in.
