Rosy! That's really great you also like all of those things which I like. I am happy to say that traveling is also my favorite hobby which I really like to enjoy. According to my point of view, traveling is the biggest source of entertainment and also the best thing for enjoyment, because through this, you can enjoy other things also. By traveling, we can get information about the various culture, language, traditions, and other things. From the learning point of view, traveling is also best.

Hello guys!! I am new member of this community, In this forum I'll share about hobbies. First i would say a hobby is a regular activity that is done for enjoyment, typically during one's leisure time, and i think life is really interesting with hobbies. Hobbies that require some level of physical activity also create chemical changes in our body that help reduce stress. Secondly i want to share my hobbies with all of you. My hobbies are gardening, reading some good books and travelling etc. But Gardening is my favorite hobby. I like gardening because it gives me pleasure and removes my monotony.

Not sure if I would call this a hobby because it's more of an interest of mine.  I don't do this regularly, but I do regularly use it.  Karl Kosser is another name people know me as.  Generally, I use to enjoy creating things that interested me, that's all.  I complied it into a video, I hope it doesn't bore you:

In case anyone was wondering about my amplifier:

In case anyone is wondering what the leatherette finish looks like close-up, this picture captures it pretty well, much better than in the video.  The other picture shows the bracing i used to make sure that the powerful bass speaker terminals never work themselves loose off the terminals which would be a headache.  Both pics are Hi-Res :[attachment=1235][attachment=1235][attachment=1236]

Last time I made a pair I was 21yo.  A lot less budget to work with then, they were ok, but not like this. lol  The volume of the sealed sub-woofers was properly calculated using the manufacture's specs, not guessed or estimated. As was the distance of the DEPTH of the 4-inline Open Baffle speakers (open back) to give them the proper additive resultant sound coming out the front of them towards the listener.

The benefit is two fold, firstly, due to the additional sound coming out of the back of the speaker driver's diaphragm/cone itself, which is out of phase with the sound coming out the front of it by 180degs (caused by the reciprocating motion of the cone's piston movement), the sound coming out the back of a properly designed open baffle box MEETS UP with the same signal/sound produced out of the front of the cone on the front of the box, and in doing so, it is brought BACK into phase with the front cone's signal/sound, simultaneously.  Thereby, in a properly designed box whose depth length has to be calculated appropriately to match the driver being used, the resultant sound coming out towards the listener can almost DOUBLE; making them ultra efficient.  Did you notice the LED LEVEL bars on my amp?  It was hardly ticking over, but if you were in the room, you would have to stop or lower the sound so that you can talk with someone standing next to you. LOL   The amp was set on exactly 5% of its total volume output. Biggrin  Yet the sound is neither annoying nor obtrusive to ANYONE in the room or house.

Secondly, it results in a MUCH deeper/lower bass signal being produced in the room than what the manufacturer STATES his drivers can produce on their spec sheet.    It is a phenomena basically,  sound is produced in the air which the drivers are NOT capable of producing in open air or in a sealed box. No one can explain it, not even the greatest mathematicians.  It's like the bumble bee of the audio world.  I capitalized on this by making a crossover that fed the top 2 speakers their full range signal, and the bottom 2 were only fed up to a maximum of 200Hz.  Thereby making the existing feeble amount of BASS more pronounced inherently, so when coupled with the said phenomena, I knew it would compliment it, and it did.  One important thing to remember in maintaining any speaker drivers' magic, is to NEVER use more than a FIRST Order Cross-over Network, or anything else to "clip and or clamp" signals going into the driver.  Anything other than a 1st order crossover will kill the magic, make no mistake.

To keep it short, I had an audio professional from a top-end hi-fi store volunteer to test the bass being produced as per proper international audio standards after he heard them.  He clearly showed that they were producing a full amount of bass down as low as 42Hz.  Much lower than the 80-90Hz 3dB attenuation level shown on the spec sheet.  The sound did not attenuate below acceptable levels till 40-41Hz and lower.  His conclusion was they were well designed and matched the highest levels of efficiency he had ever tested before; 98.7 Decibel/Watt/Meter, and he was impressed with their 'magic' factor, which is separate to all the technicalities and specs, big time. "Specs" are physical factors, "the magic" are spiritual factors, hence it can not be measured by science, only by a living soul.  Keep in mind that the dB scale is NOT linear, it is exponential, and at the levels we're talking, an increase of every dB/W/M can make a near double increase in efficiency, incrementally. Biggrin

Glad you like them William; cheers.
