The Monkey Connection for me:

I saw bits of The Monkey King(the last two hours..but I was also watching the Justice League..and erm of course studying my nursing textbook) as well.Kwan Ying(Quan Yin/Guan Yin/Kuan Yin..variations in spelling due to transliteration) is a Chinese Goddess, a Bodhisattva..so I take it the movie borrowed from the Chinese Pantheon or Buddhism(Chinese mythos).

I myself was born in the Year of the Metal Monkey...

in Hindu myth(well its real to many--in the Ramayana which is an epic poem about Lord Vishnu's incarnation as Rama), Hanuman is the monkey king)or Monkey God) who helps Lord Rama and his brother Lakshmana go to Ceylon(What is now Sri Lanka..but I guess this occurred during Lemurian times as well) to save his Queen(wife or in some respects Goddess) Sita from the Asura(Demon) king (I think his name was Ravana or Kamsa..unless I'm confusing that with The Mahabharatha). One of the many facets about Lord Hanuman was that he represents strength and he is known for fighting in the wars as well as helping to save Lakshman from the poison of an arrow---Hanuman helped save Lakshman by carrying a huge mountain filled with special herbs on his hand and flying it over to the wounded warrior prince.

When I was a child, I saw this Sesame Street movie where Big Bird went to China and he saw a Monkey King. Or was it his trip to Japan? In one of them he met the Moon Princess Kayugi Heemai(?) and he met the Phoenix bird...but I think the Monkey King helped him..not sure.

Erm...and finally I used to see monkeys hanging out in my relatives backyards in India. :oP My mom used to say when she was a kid in school..the monkeys would harass her and other students during lunch time..they'd jump on their food..make a face and take their food lol. those rug rats!! i mean those rascals!!!

Yes, I saw The Monkey King - all 4 hours of it. Yes, I enjoyed it, and the only reason that Richard didn't enjoy it is because he was so busy on the 'net' that he didn't really pay attention to the movie. He would only look up once every half hour or so. That's what he usually always does with movies. He judges them on the whole 10 minutes or so that he pays attention to it. He is  not a t.v. or movie person.  So don't ever ask him anything about movies or television programs unless they are on one of the science channels. He's a nudge!

You have just reminded me of the Monkey Magic series that was televised back in the 1980s here in the UK. I used to love that series and i remember Monkey called a Flying Cloud to him by plucking some of his chest hair and blowing it over his mouth.It is interesting you saw a 'clouds formation' as this connects with the Flying Cloud of Monkey in the Monkey Magic TV series that was based on the Monkey King of China.

This Monkey King was depicted on a cloud too, but I also saw the shape of his decorated armor, stick, and the two long feathers extending above his head... It was very detailed to the jewelry (?). The cloud formation was humongous too and it appeared as if the Monkey King was going towards my home which would be towards the West, like the Chinese Legend depicts the Monkey King, his friends, and his masters going West for the scroll.

  Whats up with the Flying Monkeys in Lizard of Oz errrrr Wizard.

   Ok,  Monkeys have not been on my mind.  What is weird for me was a few years back  a name or saying stuck in my head then I would see it manifest out in the world such as...   Dark Light.    So from a few years ago the word Dark Light kept going on in my head and sometimes I use these saying but after a year there were tv shows Named Dark Light and even a Rock band named their album Dark light and many more like that after its been in my head for a year or more.

  But Monkeys,  errrr not Butt Monkeys, have not been in my head but i did like to watch The Monkees....... Here we come, walkin'

William, Interesting about the Dark Light...there is a goth /techno/industrial band called VNV Nation that I sometimes listen to---I believe they have a song called Dark Light...they also have other songs called Arc Light and First Light as well. I know for sure they have a song called Dark Angel. For some reason this term makes me think of Pink Floyds album..the cover of it with the black prism and light reflecting?

lol and its funny about that connection of Flying Monkeys in "Lizard" of Oz...lol.

maybe I should deprogram from flying monkeys and see what comes up..Hanuman, the Indian monkey king also flies...

Monkey Magic series? Interesting that it came out in 1980? 1980 was the year of the Monkey..well erm..late jan 1980 to feb 1981 or something?

Btw, I remember reading somewhere that there are monkey entities in the lower astral realm that plays with people... If I have time I'll look for the links.

I just thought of that Beastie Boys song "Brass Monkey" and I naively do not know what its about! There is also a George Michael song about Monkeys,right? If there are monkeys on one's back,etc? *shrugs* What would that expression mean? Also, Aeropostale clothes line tends to have monkeys displayed on their shirts!!

There are also Curious George stories...

I am not sure on this one but weren't Monkies and the entire Ape Family genetically created by the Reptilians?The Human Prototype came first and then the Apes who were designed as even more submissive and subserviant workers.So the Masonic Noble Lie of Evolution was just another scam by the Ruling Elites to introduce a Caste System to the Western World.
