O'Hare UFO Incident - Four Years Later - Important Or Forgotten?

The purpose of today's post is to refresh my own and therefore others mid-term memories of the UFO incident that allegedly happened at, .... well, actually over, O'Hare Airport in Chicago on November 7th, 2006 in the late afternoon in a cloud covered sky.

Indeed, this Wiki account http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_O'Hare...O_sighting is largely my collective memory of some of the details -- but certainly NOT all the details. Indeed, as you can see from the picture above and others I will link to in this article - some photos do seem to exist.

The Wiki account also doesn't go into the more sordid aspects of what I certainly remember - that of an airline employee talking in silhouette with his voice altered (was taking UFO's seriously perceived as THAT big a concern by the MSM only 4 years ago?) My memory is that it was on CNN or some local Chicago station - whereas the Wiki article only directly mentions Glen Beck's show in some manner. Perhaps I will dig that link out somewhere.

I also remember that the event happened, was largely ignored by the MSM until a later point largely coinciding with the statement from the FAA that the event didn't even occur. In fact, if memory serves me right - it was then that the worker came forward in silhouette that the saga began of explanations for the event (including weather explanations for the instant hole in the cloudbank when the UFO accelerated upwards and out of sight).

Indeed, one of the mysteries of the O'Hare UFO Incident, was why the FAA said anything at all as the event had largely been forgotten and was nothing more than a footnote. That said, perhaps the FAA knew that the MSM was going to `out' the story - much like what happened - and decided to in one final attempt to squash the story. In essence, challenging the MSM to cover the story after the official denial of the event.

But, the MSM did go forward and did report and publicize the story. Even if the `witness' -- and only one witness I will add - was in shaded lighting and using a disguised voice. I mean, this is `undercover' reporting bigtime; - for effect? All of this was removed from the event itself as this all bubbled up in Jan. 2007 and then had a week or two of slight media focus. By that UDCC means, a mention or two by the MSM and local channels for a day or two or three over a couple week period.

Indeed, so modest was the coverage - with almost NO depth as to the larger questions involving security or even the obvious `life in the universe' concept - that I knew people in Chicago who were unaware of the incident even later that year. My bet is that of the general public, today, few would mention the airport event in a top of mind UFO poll. Especially if compared to the Stephenville UFO Events or Phoenix 1997 Flyover Craft - or perhaps even the recent NYC UFO Event.

One has to wonder if the witness - or the 12 witnesses sited in the Wikipedia article - would be willing to come forward today, without the cloaking of their identities. (Wouldn't it be something if the aliens were among us and cloaked? Ironic?) But, that would mean a MSM that wasn't under control on the very issue of security (for our safety and sanity it would be argued) - especially focusing on a security that is unattainable in relation to a superior intelligence.

And, let's not forget the memory of the guy that had the `video' of the event - (he used his own camera to record pictures that appeared in a magazine to look like a live event) - or the hoax picture from the cockpit of another plane as the UFO shot skyward.

Okay, enough of my perceptions - and I welcome yours in the comments - and onto the links I've saved that still tell a story about the Chicago O'Hare UFO Incident.

Folks, I re-read all of the above - in the last post link above I wrote these words and I couldn't help but think of the NYC Event(s) (And Stephenville.)

"I also want to point out the timing. No, not the fact of being in broad daylight — which again nearly makes it unique – no, the fact that with the cloud cover so low - it gave the best possible chance for pictures and views. Again, dear reader, NOT a thing of chance. Chosen to happen on a day with a low cloud level. Not a chance occurrence, at all. Indeed, a possible signal.


All of these factors add up if `aliens’ were giving us a look at them so to speak.


> do it where the location can’t be taken as an arbitrary place on Earth


> do it `close’ so it can be easily seen and photographed by the common man


> do it during broad daylight


If it is the aliens, I’d expect them to follow this protocol the `next time’ — the big UFO event will be in a non-arbitrary place (say over a NASCAR event), close up, in broad daylight. I’d also expect that NEXT time - if it is aliens — that the `timeframe of exposer’ will increase; more than just a few minutes. A `build-up’ so to speak for us `humans’ to prepare a bit.


But, `whoever’ owns the craft that was seen over O’Hare may just want to pull the ultimate UFO event again. We the public deserve to know if the reason is blackmail or contact – I hope the media would even get it— if the O’Hare UFO Incident Happened Again." ----
