Each NASA SOHO photo captures the color frequency of a given LAYER of the Sun,
and the 304 being REDDEST or lowest in frequency, captures the OUTSIDE mantle
layer through which the fires of the inner layers flame out. In this comparison
between the SUN'S MANTLE FROM 2000 to the Sun's MANTLE today on the eit304, the
mantle appears much thinner than in 2000.
Notice the mantle is "stitched together" in the same pattern as a baseball's leather covering. How interesting.
