Poll: Obama or McCain?
#1
There’s only 3 days left until the election and I was curious which candidate people would like to see in office. I know a lot of people don’t vote because they feel it doesn’t make a difference but if someone was holding a gun to your head forcing you to vote, who would you vote for?

I’m also interested in opinions from members in other countries that won’t be voting in the US election.

Is there any chance the Poll could be changed - to include a third choice like "something/someone other than McCain or Obama" or "I will be writing in a third party choice" or "I will vote but not for those two".  Or is this a forced fantasy poll where I HAVE to choose between just those two.

Sorry if I'm being a pain in the butt.  :P

I could include a third choice but the third choice doesn’t have a chance of winning. I would love to see someone else win like Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, or Hilary Clinton but none of them has a chance of winning.

Okay, no problem.... :)

I just thought I'd ask.  icon_prost

I'm not so much voting for Obama as voting against McCain/McSame. I'm voting as far away from the 'Old Boys Club' as I can and a vote for Ralph Nader is wasted. Make sense?

I agree Menkaure. I also feel it is important to exercise the right to vote .I consider it a use it or loose it situation. Perhaps the election is controlled and /or rigged. Even so the very act of voting makes an impression on a couple of  levels IMO.It's my opinion that there are forces that would like us to  believe it is a completely futile act.

I’m not crazy about Obama either but I feel he’ll be better than McCain. McCain just wants more wars and more tax breaks for the rich. I made my mind up about McCain back when he first sang "bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran". Then up until the bailout in October McCain thought the economy was is good shape. He’s out of touch with reality. Now that he realizes the economy is doing poorly he thinks he can fix it with more tax breaks for the rich. The same old republican trickle down theory that has never worked.

I agree with MN that voting does make a difference. They want you to think it doesn’t matter because it is easier for them to rig the votes. The more people that vote makes it harder to rig the voting in their favor. They want McCain to win but I think so many people will be voting for Obama that it will be to difficult to make it look like McCain won.
