There's no way they are a cult. Each and everyone have their own business. So I imagine the producers only invited authors who practice reality attraction. JZ Knight was invited over to have her own small little segment. Author of Chicken Soup for the Soul was also invited over to share his stories about how he finally became a national seller when he started practicing reality attraction. He isn't a red flag at all.

Kid, it sounds like you’re getting too paranoid. You can’t knock something you haven’t tried and no little about. All you have to do is read their forum and see the positive changes that are occurring in thousands of people lives. It speaks for it self.

Kid, Can you explain why you feel the power of thought and the law of attraction is mind control?

Richard, i found out recently that paranoia is a huge part of the ego.  If someone is paranoid its the ego/left brain that is taking over.  Not something that should be advocated, so 'thekid' balance your t-bar, and protect yourself if you're heading in this direction before watching a movie.

You seem to be doing exactly the opposite of what 'The Secret' is trying to say, which means negative experiences will find its way into your life - you can change it, think positively and positve things will align itself to you.

Everyone lets take a breather!

Kid, we respect your opinion, and you should respect ours. If Swerdlows techniques are working for you, then that is great. For those who have received positive in their life from the secret, that is also great.

BE is correct in saying this is not a cult, because on the DVD they do not ask for money, or even ask for your support, they do not even advertise their own business to attract clients.

To create balance you can not judge another for their belief system, as long as that belief system is creating a more balanced and positive outlook then it is not bad.

You must be open minded to properly learn, judging something that you have not seen is really being ignorant. If you feel that you will be triggered by this film then do not watch it.

It is completely different to Anthony Robbins work.

Correct de-programming should rapidly change your life, it does not take years to feel the change, it should be only a matter of days and weeks before your mind and life feels the change.

Everyone is different, this forum is not dedicated to the secret, it has a separate topic for those who are interested and wish to discuss it.

We are dedicated to knowledge and that involves everything that is out there. We are here to support one another and respect each person’s opinion and provide clarity to the confusion together.

Kid,

Patience requires practice, if you believe this is DVD is connected to the NWO, then sometime in the future you will see that we are all wrong and you were correct, but until then your patience must wait for the universal energy to unfold.

There is a need to change this thread back to positive, and if all involved is not prepared to do this with respect, then I expect Richard to delete it.

Kid, It’s the wrong way to go about things judging the people instead of the info. The power of thought and the law of attraction have been taught by some of the greatest people throughout history.  They aren’t teaching anything new. It has been taught for thousands of years.

Here is an example from Wikipedia.

The Secret Teachers are members of the cast who explain Law of Attraction. Most of the Secret Teachers are in the self help or motivational speaking industry, amongst these are also two Physicists, Fred Alan Wolf and John Hagelin

Law of Attraction. The following are Past Secret Teachers:

1. Hermes Trismegistus

2. W. Clement Stone

3. Plato

4. Isaac Newton

5. Martin Luther King

6.  Carl Jung

7.  Victor Hugo

8.  Henry Ford

9.  Ralph Waldo Emerson

10.  Thomas Edison

11.  Albert Einstein

12.  Robert Collier

13.  Winston Churchill

14.  Andrew Carnegie

15.  Joseph Campbell

16.  Gautama Buddha

17.  Alexander Graham Bell

18.  Ludvig Van Beethoven

19.  Charles Fillmore

Awesome info there Richard, quite an 'attractive' set of links you have there!

Go Gautama Buddha!!!  Well not really, but i've learned meditation recently and its quite awesome being in that space of mind.  The law of attraction (and other laws i've come across) are working through me and by me recently and its an awesome feeling that i'm able to connect to my OLD friends that I had over 5 years ago - they came back into MY life, not the other way round.

Its awesome.

Hey Lion, speaking of connecting with old friends reminded me of an example of the power of thought that was in the news recently.

Quote:Many people have experienced the phenomenon of receiving a telephone call from someone shortly after thinking about them -- now a scientist says he has proof of what he calls telephone telepathy.

Rupert Sheldrake, whose research is funded by the respected Trinity College, Cambridge, said on Tuesday he had conducted experiments that proved that such precognition existed for telephone calls and even e-mails.

Each person in the trials was asked to give researchers names and phone numbers of four relatives or friends. These were then called at random and told to ring the subject who had to identify the caller before answering the phone.

"The hit rate was 45 percent, well above the 25 percent you would have expected," he told the annual meeting of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. "The odds against this being a chance effect are 1,000 billion to one."

He said he found the same result with people being asked to name one of four people sending them an e-mail before it had landed.

However, his sample was small on both trials -- just 63 people for the controlled telephone experiment and 50 for the email -- and only four subjects were actually filmed in the phone study and five in the email, prompting some scepticism.

Undeterred, Sheldrake -- who believes in the interconnectedness of all minds within a social grouping -- said that he was extending his experiments to see if the phenomenon also worked for mobile phone text messages.
