Retailer Bankruptcies Boost Online Shopping, E-Commerce
#1
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, November 24, 2008

Online retailing suddenly looks like a golden opportunity in the wake of growing brick-and-mortar bankruptcies. The number of retailers going out of business (or seriously scaling back) is staggering:

Circuit city closing 150 stores, Footlocker closing 140 stores, GAP closing 85 stores, Disney closing 98 stores, Ann Taylor closing 117 stores, KB Toys closing 356 stores, Sprint closing 33 stores... and the news just keeps coming, day after day!

One company is seeing serious benefits from the shift, though: ShopToEarth, a multi-tier affiliate network that pays people bonus checks as they buy the things they buy anyway while introducing the online retail shopping portal to others.

Natural health companies are on board, too: ShopToEarth already has Delicious Greens, Nutiva, Dr. Bronner's Soap and now Wholefood Farmacy! Several new natural health companies are coming on board in early 2009, making the portal a great place to get health foods and health products at discount prices (while earning something on the side).

(NaturalNews is already a member of ShopToEarth. That's how I buy Dr. Bronner's Soap now!)

They, too, predict slower growth: 77.5% of the retailers surveyed last year expected their sales to grow more than 15% -- and they were right. Online holiday sales overall rose 19% between 2006 and '07, according to Web marketing firm ComScore.... more
