A UNIQUE performance of one of the most successful albums will take place in London this weekend as part of a global event.
[color="#0000ff"]Mike Oldfieldââ¬â¢s 1973 album Tubular Bells, still best known for providing horror film The Exorcist with its theme music, will be performed in cities all over the world on Saturday.[/color]

The performances [/color]are to mark the release of a digitally-enhanced version of the album. They [color="#0000ff"]are scheduled for 6pm on 6 June ââ¬â a reference to the number of the devil [/color]ââ¬â and are [color="#0000ff"]taking place in[/color] Milan, Berlin, Paris, Sydney, Japan [color="#0000ff"]and London[/color], [color="#0000ff"]where[/color] the 29-piece Hand Bell Ringers of Great Britain and [color="#0000ff"]ambient house duo The Orb will showcase their own tributes[/color].
The British Music Experience at the O2 arena will host the event, where visitors can try bell-ringing.
[color="#0000ff"]Oldfield, 56, the Reading-born multi-millionaire producer[/color], told the Standard he [color="#0000ff"]doesnââ¬â¢t want the horror movie link to put families off bringing children, who will be admitted for free.[/color]
He said: ââ¬Å[color="#0000ff"]I hope the kids will come and families wonââ¬â¢t be put off by the 666 thing[/color].ââ¬Â Oldfield lives in the Bahamas with his wife Fanny and two sons. Tubular Bells has sold 17 million copies.
