The Sirians know it's possible to delete a soul. The want a countermeasure technology so they can't have their souls deleted themselves.

At the same time, many research groups and rogue entities have solved the deletion of the soul, whether thru paperwork, or real tech.

This is something that bothers me too, I was thinking about it just a couple of days ago funnily enough. If a soul is electromagnetic energy, and technology exists to capture one & force it into a body of the captor's choosing, then surely technology exists to disperse / wipe clean soul energy? Eenergy cannot be destroyed but it can be changed, eg. from intelligent/sentient energy into something else. Maybe heat energy to boil the kettle when they want a cup of tea.
