"The Science of Getting Rich" is a 1910 book that came before the popular "Think and Grow Rich" in 1960. It is read by previous generations, and it inspired Bob Procter to spread the message of "The Secret" (according to Attraction Accelerator, a free ebook that includes an interview with Bob).
Even though the whole focus is on gaining wealth, you've gotta admit that money is a basic human desire and there's nothing wrong to have some EXPENDABLE cash. When you're spiritual you can earn as much money as you want, but that doesn't mean you're going to turn out as "ignorant" as the "wealthy people." If you have an issue with this, you might think it's against spiritual values, but on a deeper psychological level you probably made up your decision on your personal finance. Money gives you time to become more spiritual. It's the people holding the money, not the money itself.
