Hello William,
There are some symbols like the Lion Symbol, the Unicorn and Dolphin Symbols and the Infinity Symbol that just get used a lot in commercial products such as Films and Games because they have been proven to be universal symbols. The alchemical symbol for sulfur (one of them, there are more than one), as an example, with the Lorraine Cross over an 90-degree turned '8' is used a lot in games and entertainment products as well and it is the one that is used in the game Bloodrayne which has now been made into a film:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/bloodrayne/. (They use different color combinations when doing this for effect. Bloodrayne colors are scarlet and black. )
MGM uses the Lion but so does another film company called "Lion's Gate" (a more interesting named one):
http://www.lgf.com. The Lion's Gate one is neat because it blends the idea of 'Gates' or 'Doors' with the idea of Space and Time and the idea of Leonic energetics. : )
Some symbols are universal and have been used since the dawn of human memory and companies, especially big companies, prefer simple symbols that are broadly recognized (Jungian Archetypes, Mythological symbols, etc. predominate). This is very, very smart. The dot with a circle around it has been used for centuries. Contary to popular belief, this has many meanings. Consciousness and intelligence is just a
context but I feel it is more than just a symbol for intelligence in space/time or the pineal. It's also a Unity symbol (The One, the Whole: God = All Space = All Time = All Frequencies).
All the symbols subsume more than one universal principle. They are like holograms. For instance, astrological symbols like the Sun Symbol (circle in a dot) is also used for other things. The Symbol for Aries, the inverted double hook joined at the spine is also a 'seed' symbol of a seed pushing up out of the grass. What's interesting (and a good idea for another thread) is the way these are used: ONE PART OF THE MIND WILL INTERPRET THE SYMBOL ONE WAY AND ANOTHER PART THE PERSONALITY ISN'T EVEN AWARE OF WILL GET TOTALLY DIFFERENT MESSAGES SIMULTANEOUSLY FROM THE SAME SYMBOL INSTRUCTION. I believe this is how some triggers work. It's pretty smart. So you could watch a movie, have a front personality react to it one way and have three back alters get triggered to do totally different things at a different date without the active mind even noticing (this depends on programming). : ) (This also falls back into Hidden Observer/IP tactics.)
Apple Computer uses an apple as it's logo for a good reason. The Apple or Fruit and the Heart or Valentine are related symbols and (in part) have to do with hooks and enticement. The can also be recognized as Luciferian symbols depending on the context. (Steve Jobs, btw, is another 'noble orphan' - an adopted Triple Piscean of unknown origin who 'miraculously' shoots to fame through what was futuristic technology to many people at the time but was in the works via The Powers for many years before the masses saw them.) Amusingly, the default user icons available for new accounts on current Apple Computers and PowerBooks includes the Cat, the Dog, the Butterfly, the Sunflower, the Dragonfly! More disturbing is the symbol of a 'nest' with three Pale Blue Eggs inside it. I'll let people draw their own conclusions in respect to triggering and such.
Anyway (sorry), I think I have digressed to the point of no return but return now back to your original question:
"...why they have showed off the Lion from many many years ago in the movie business? Is it in reverence of the frequency? Is it used against us?"
I think the symbols used in big business are used to attract people and trigger the subconscious into buying or supporting a product but that is just one purpose since it's pretty much just the 'kick off' - the first step is always getting people to 'open up' or buy something, once you actually have the product, then stage 2 kicks in.
The products of big business Hollywood all have programming in them. All of them. In this sense, it is ALL 'used against you' because it imprints and subverts the mind beneath (most people's) conscious awareness but I don't like that phrasing of 'used against you' because it implies a lack of power on the part of the consumer and that's self-fulfilling - if you believe yourself to have no power, you won't.
I don't believe there is any one single purpose or single functionality in deploying a brand, that's what makes using them so smart and these are very bright people!
I don't think use of the Lion is in 'reverence' to the frequency - nothing is sacred in Hollywood, hence no reverence. I think it's just the product of researching in advertising psychology what works well and what doesn't work so well and then deploying the solution.
Most of what you probably want to know is available in books on advertising. The programming aspect would need to be cross-referenced to see how the advertising and programming relate and support each other. There are also some good books on the psychology of crowds that might be useful since this relates to mass programming.
There is a lot more on this topic but we'd probably need a separate thread.
Sorry for the digressions. I have a 'stream of consciousness' type mind/brain that doesn't always see the separations of things so I have to try hard to focus or I'll go on without end.
These are all just my personal opinions.
Cryptic hint of the day:
Everything is a frequency.
There are no silver bullets.
