The New TV Lineup
#1
Has anyone noticed the new shows that they are putting on television lately?  Besides the new "Smallville," they have things like "Invasion," and "Threshold," and "Supernatural."  Not to mention "Stargate" and "Stargate Atlantis."  I've also noticed that they have brought back "Star Trek Enterprise."  It seems like they are really pushing aliens, alien invasions, and psychic or magic stuff.  Maybe the staged invasion is really beginning to happen...or, who knows...maybe it won't be "staged" after all.  Actually, that wouldn't be so bad...I'm ready to go right now. Hi there Dragonfly.I remember Stewart Swerdlow saying that there would be a hue increase in TV programs dealing with Witchcraft, the Occult and the Staged Alien Invasion and Project Green Star Programming.I stay clear of almost all TV as i prefer to write, draw and go cycling. With what is happening now it is best to keep using the Brown Merger and Grounding ourselves. TV is a horrendous form of Subconscious Programming if people watch it to much. Take care.

I actually ran across a kids' show called 'Reppies' which is about a rock band made up of half human, half reptiles! And doesn't anyone remember the show 'V' from about twenty years ago? That was more than a little blatant!

I watched the last episode of Invasion.   Not sure if i like it yet.  It had a Hurricane in its episode.  Weird eh?

Has anyone noticed how some episodes have the same thing happening as our real world problems.  Like they made the Episode sometimes many months in advance yet what is happening in them is what we are going through ourselves, ie, the hurricane episode.

I have the show V,  Remember if its on TV then its not really happening in our world...um wait, it is happening in our world.......  Plausible Denial.....

There is even an episode of StarGate tv show that says if they put information in a tv show then it negates reality.

Helllooooooo  does any of this make sense.?  :orcpascompris:

speaking of television shows...i dont watch TV myself...but a freind gave me the remote to look for something to watch,he couldnt find anything,so i went investigating..i came across nikelodeon cartoons and noticed there was a show on called "invader" i put it on,watched it for a couple minutes, and heres what i saw,a little alien boy saying,"I discovered that mars is a spaceship and im going to use it to roll all around the earth and crush all the humans"

Then i looked at what the next show was about that was coming on after it,i forget the name of it,the info of the cartoon brought up by the TV guide says something about conquering planets..

Its amazing...Ive heard about all these supernatural/alien shows that are on prime time now,i couldnt believe what some of the subject matter was about, especially this "invasion" show, and people really dont catch on at all. There minds have already been shaped by that damn tube.

I have all the "V" videos also.  I wonder if any of the people would rise up and fight against the reptilians like they did in the movie?  Or will we all just roll over and close our eyes to the things that are happening (like most are doing now)?

Go back to where I really belong.  And I always have my towel.

Yes, T.V. can be brain dulling and triggering if you let it.  But I take it all in with a grain of salt.  I watch with "open eyes."  Besides, I always have my dreams.  They are the most entertaining things I ever watch - and I'm in all of them!

Dragonfly,     Did i read somewhere that you read HP lovecraft?  Not sure if that was you saying that.   Anyway there is a movie written by HP lovecraft , I know i have it on VHS somewhere but i cant find it and i cant remember the name of the movie. (or the movie was adapted from HP lovecraft)

Just checking if anyone out there knows what movie im thinking of.....   Its a psychic , demons, detective kinda thriller.

Side note,  ..   I think they should of made a movie from Doulas Adams, Long dark tea time of the soul...   He is Psychic detective.  Cool book.

Cool

Ah Lovecraft. I am a fan, and I love horror movies. There are a number made with Lovecraftian themes, but the one that made me feel absolutely creepy is called 'Dagon', about some folks that get trapped in this Italian fishing village where everyone worships Dagon. It is low budget and poorly done but for some reason made me feel VERY uncomfy!

Also, John Carpenter's neat 'In the Mouth of Madness' has many Lovecraftian ideas to it.

Erik,  Thanks for reply.  When i find the movie i will let you know.  Maybe the main character is called Lovecraft.  And now that im thinking about it , it might of been a made for HBO type of movie.

I like most of John Carpenters movies but have not seen In the mouth of madness.  What did you think of "Ghost of Mars"?  If you have seen it.

Hi William and Erik,

No, I am not a huge fan of HP Lovecraft.  I do have some of his books, and I am sure I have sen some of his movies, but he is not one of my main authors.

I like a lot of what John Carpenter made.  Yes, I have seen Ghosts of Mars.  It was pretty good...creepy, but good.  I met John Carpenter at the Horror Writer's Conference in New York, once.  Him and Whitney Strieber.  We had some drinks at a local bar and John was trying really hard to get me to come up to his room with him.  When I didn't take him up on his offer, he got some other "bimbo" to go with him. Rolleyes  Hmmm...now that I think about it, I wonder where I'd be today if I did take him up on the offer.
