I'm wondering if he might not be since he had enough sense to cut his ties with expansions.

I just want to say to Dove, Dove? if you are feeling now that the members are ushering you to strickly go elsewhere.... that is NOT the case. Please, do stay here while also taking advantage of other avenues, such as Rick Ross website and/or professional counseling. \

But please do not stop contributing here, is what I'm trying to drive home to you. From the responses from others it seemed to me that you were being directed out of here and that is SO not the case at all.

I agree and said that to her in a PM. Most professionals aren't going to know anything about programming, so how can they help. They'll just medicate her. That's all they know how to do. I recommended talking with Astrojewels (Karen Dess). I think Karen is one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met about programming.

Richard, I beg to differ... I do feel/intuit, that the Rick Ross people do know about deprogramming. And Karen can't help here in the US. I don't think it is a good idea to send Dove to a semi-professional...because it isn't just the deprogramming, it's also the physical and psychological abuse. I also feel it would be better if a professionally trained Cult deprogrammer would work with Dove (not a psychiatrist as you seem to suggest - big difference) because it isn't just the programming that needs to be addressed, it's everything around it that also needs taking care of.

Someone who solely focuses on deprogramming will not be able to cover everything someone recovering from a cult needs. And, it seems a bit risky to have Dove jump from the frying pan into the fire by being 'taken over' by just one other individual instead of a few highly ethical, skilled, knowledgeable and properly trained people that know what they're doing.

The Rick Ross Forum is chock full with excellent information on all aspects of deprogramming as well as leaving a cult. One person alone can't do this. There's too much of a risk of a repetition by the former victim becoming once more attached to their new 'rescuer' because it's part of the psychological make-up of a cult follower. And at this stage that's just a bit too much of a risk to take.

I didn't think about Rick Ross. I suppose that would be a good source. I'm just not familiar with what he knows about Illuminati programming. I'll have to research his site and see what I can find out.

She could talk with Rick Ross and Karen. It doesn't matter where Karen lives to chat on the phone or email.

Uhm...I think what I feel is better in such a situation is not a disconnected kind of support but real 'life' (direct, and personal not via email or telephone 'consultations') kind of environment to help someone recover.

I do feel that the isolation of having to go through the recovery process on your own is what makes it much more likely to fall back into the same behavioral pattern that set one up to fall prey of becoming a cult victim in the first place. Direct contact with a person in front of you is much more real (IMHO) than telephone or email.

Just my two cents.

This is true but that doesn't mean you can't also talk to people online. It's always helpful to get more than one opinion.

True...but to be effective it's best to have people around you physically - not 'in your face' - but certainly, the recovery has more chances to get off the ground (all relative, of course) if people around you can see you. Not just communicate via email or phone. 70-80% of communication is non-verbal - meaning, strictly communicated through body language. You can't do this via phone or email - granted one is a psychic but for the victim it is good to have someone they can actually look at...also, to see the helper's reactions. In terms of genuine therapy cult recovery work, technology is extremely non-effective.

Immediate exchange is much stronger and better than technological means when it becomes difficult for the victim.

I'm not saying she shouldn't see anyone in person. I'm just saying it's also helpful to talk to other people wherever they are. That's part of what this forum is all about. Members come here to discuss problems and seek opinions on solutions. Just because discussions are better in person doesn't mean you shouldn't also discuss it with anyone else.
