Microsoft has been bypassing user preference settings for 'automatic update' for the past few weeks (since about Aug 27th). That is to say, for users who have switched off Windows automatic update, Microsoft has been updating Windows in stealth mode, without notifying users, let alone asking their permission.
Microsoft has just issued an update for the daylight savings time system clock adjustment programs. These vary from country to country but require the user to identify the country they are in. Iran is on the list of countries to which this update applies. The clock adjustment appears to have been withdrawn for Iranians.
The Rebel Team urgently suggests to all Windows users to reinstall their operating system from their system CD, disable automatic updates and not install any updates after the second half of August 2007.
