Ven For Vendetta
#1
Well, I have just saw a movie trailer for "v for vendetta"

I find it funny that at the end they say "Remember, remember, the fifth of november" which is Stewart's b-day!  (it's a synchronicity because i barely found out stew's bday when i viewed his profile today)  Also, the theme of this movie, like expansions, fits conspiracies.

http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/v_for_vendetta/

I watched it because a mask figure is part of my programming and i wanted to deprogram during the trailer.  But I am also compelletd to watch the film.  I wonder what programming will it trigger.  Has anyone seen it?

I don't know if this VoV thread will get as popular as the WoW thread but I felt the movie talks should get kicking again, especially during these hard times.  :sobs:

I have read the graphic novel. I may see the movie if/when it comes out on DVD. I won't go see it in the theatre because I am expecting them to butcher Moore's work. The graphic novel came out many years ago (back in the 80s?) and became a cult classic. "V for Vendetta" and "Watchmen", and "Miracleman" , all by Alan Moore, are very complex and contain Utopia-gone-wrong themes and like 'Sandman' raised the bar across the board in comics.

Alan Moore has already pretty much trashed the movie in interviews. I'd read the book first. It's good but very dark.

Digression:

Of Moore's work, Miracleman is for me the most interesting because it has Mind Control based themes that will resonate with people who feel a connection with Mind Control projects like Montauk. The heroes 'alter ego' even lives and exists in Moore's version (and I quote) of 'Hyperspace' as an 'intelligence' and the primary character and switches bodies between 2 minds by saying a pre-programmed trigger word that uses the 'reverse' of the word 'atomic' to pick up and switch to the mind blueprint (and, subsequently, body) of his superhuman alterego. The 2 can't exist in the same place at the same time due to a doppler effect. They are given their powers by being hooked up to beds and chairs and attached to a dream machine that programs them to be 'superheroes' while they sleep and then this side is split off into an alter that is godlike and a flipside for the human front personality. It's really interesting reading if you can find a copy (old copies are very expensive and rare). As a side note, the primary character and his alter ego have the same first and last initials and the 2 characters are 'twins' of each other, 'Mike Moran' = 'Miracle' 'Man'.

The digression is very striking that it teaches so much about mind-control.  It seems like past movies show the most truths.  For instance, V.

I thought no one will respond to my post.  i will look more into your digression for consideration when I am awake tomorrow.  I know the comics will never come into my possession.  Rare peices...

Other than that, I have nothing to add.  Thanks for taking the time to type the information.

Silver Infinity, I finally saw this movie a few days ago. I thought it was decent..just way too long..its about a revolution(new world order/religion?) started by one man...I think it might have something to do with what may happen in our own future....if we let it happen...there are some trigger lines in there...they say something like" he is all of us, he is me, he is you" or something like that..I remember myself writing something similar weeks before I saw this movie......

Yes its interesting about the masked figure..I think its got some porcelain doll programming in there..

I think that by using "Hugo Weaving" in V...it connect this movie programming with a prior movie programming....the Matrix's trilogy...

I guess the cookies has more meaning than they seem...

I loved V for Vendetta, saw it on DVD recently. "Remember, remember the fifth of November, The gunpowder, treason, and plot, I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot".

Very much Big Brother and the destruction of a skyscraper which brought back memories of 911, althought the novel was written well before then. I just saw The 300 last week. Anti christianity....it seems... where the 'bad' king asks only that you kneel before him and call him your king... and he will save you. Also glorifying those that fight and die for their country... in the name of freedom.
