Images captured after a shooting in Dallas appear to show people simply standing by as the victim stumbled around searching for help.
The incident happened after a man unknowingly walked into an armed robbery at a MetroPCS store in the 3900 block of South Polk Street. The man opened the door and closed it quickly after he saw the armed suspect. As the man tried to hold the door shut, the suspect fired through the glass door, hitting the man in the chest.
After the man was shot, video shows the suspect burst through the door, which is when police said he fled on foot with an accomplice waiting in the parking lot.
The video then showed the victim stumble up to bystanders asking for help. As the man approached them, many simply stood still as others slowly walked away. Eventually, a woman leaving another store approached the victim and walked him inside the MetroPCS store.
Police have made two arrests in connection with the incident, and said they are still searching for two other suspects.
