That's a surprise MN. Not sure at this point who is behind this occupy protest so I'm just observing. At some point it will be apparent.
In NYC, the mayor ordered all generators to be taken by the police. the occupiers were using generators for heat, laptops, cooking food, etc. The weather is getting cold in NY so they are just waiting it out because the protestors cannot be outdoors all day and night in the Winter months. Maybe the warmer climate states will continue the vigil..

Local News link for today's GENERAL STRIKE IN OAKLAND. 1946/2011

Absolutely awesome! Protest 10,000+ strong peaceful People shut down 4 Downtown Banks and the Port of Oakland--6th largest shipping port in U.S., 2nd largest on West Coast. Longshoreman and Truckers in support. Only reported incidents were shattering of windows at Chase Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America and Citibank--large banners displayed there "Death of Capitalism". Whole Foods Market (non-union) graffitied, after reports that any workers missing from work would be disciplined. Notorious Oakland PD stand down.

Once again the Bay Area in the vanguard of a truly radical movement--echoes of the 60s Vietnam War Protests.

Per Mayor Bloomberg, police conducted a raid at 1:00am NYC OWS in order to side with public health and safety. After that, protestors will have to adhere to the laws of private owners of the park...which means no tents, lying down etc. tptb are taking away the places to protest and squat...Well, it's TIME TO GO TO CENTRAL PARK THEN!!! We've turned another ugly corner.

http://news.yahoo.com/police-bust-ny-occ...48477.html

Then again, all of this could just go away and everyone could get back to their nice cozy homes for the winter, just as soon as we bring the criminals to account. UNTIL THEN...We've got to keep up the pressure.

ILLUMINATI TROLLS: THE SPIRIT FORCE IS STRONG IN HUMANS: YOU CAN DO THIS THE EASY WAY OR THE HARD WAY: EITHER WAY...YOU LOSE! (LOL) HAVE FUN IN HELL, LOSERS! THIS IS NOT YOUR PLANET--GET LOST!

TO LAW ENFORCEMENT: "IF YOU DANCE WITH THE DEVIL, YOU'LL GET BURNT." Don't think for two minutes that your BaDgE or measly paycheck will square your spirit off to any inhumane actions you perform in the line of duty...au contraire. NOT ONLY WILL YOU--BY USHERING IN A TOTALITARIAN REGIME--MAKE LIFE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOUR KIDS AND GRANDKIDS, but you'll also prove to be an expendable threat--a wee tad down the road. By then, "you've sold your soul for a handful of beans." The time to PONDER this is NOW!

Today's the second month anniversary and it will be big: :D

"Most rallies by the 2-month-old movement in New York have been attended by hundreds of people, but a spokesman for the protesters and city officials said on Wednesday that they expected tens of thousands to turn out for the day of action."

As 84 year old (recently-peppersprayed-in-the-face-in-Seattle) activist, Rainey said:

YOU SCREW WITH US AND WE MULTIPLY

This was a great women's liberation slogan that I loved! Thanks for the reminder old-timer!

Amid growing pressure to remove the UC Davis chancellor, the two police officers responsible for pepper spraying student protesters were suspended!

This article explains the coordinated "from the top, down" national effort to use unprovoked force against OWS protesters. Each individual city mayor tried to pass off the "pepper-spray and more, crackdowns" as public health and safety issues: trespassing on private property of parks, violating city ordinances, urban camping violations, yada yada yada. Well, (Jesuit/Vatican funding for Anonymous & OWS notwithstanding) the main reason that the national order/message from "on-high" was dispatched to: physically intimidate and break the will of OWS was because of the urgent cry for "TRANSPARENCY" from the movement.

CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE ELITE WHEN THEIR ROTTEN-TO-THE-CORE FINANCIAL DEALINGS ARE MADE TRANSPARENT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE? (Oh, I jump up and down with glee.) Anyhoo, time for martial law then...can't have it! Time to crack down on 84-year-olds, and girls!!! Because we have to show how depraved we are and that there is NO LEVEL to which we won't sink! JUST REMEMBER, THERE'S REALLY NO WHERE FOR THESE CRIMINALS TO HIDE ONCE THEIR CRIMES "EN MASS" ARE EXPOSED! They really DO NOT want to live in the underground bases...can't say as I blame them. So, I'm looking forward to this next piece of their *E *x*P*o*S*u*R*e* This should be a lot of fun! :D

"So, when you connect the dots, properly understood, what happened this week is the first battle in a civil war; a civil war in which, for now, only one side is choosing violence. It is a battle in which members of Congress, with the collusion of the American president, sent violent, organized suppression against the people they are supposed to represent. Occupy has touched the third rail: personal congressional profits streams. Even though they are, as yet, unaware of what the implications of their movement are, those threatened {politicians & lobbyists}by the stirrings of their dreams of reform are not. Sadly, Americans this week have come one step closer to being true brothers and sisters of the protesters in Tahrir Square. Like them, our own national leaders, who likely see their own personal wealth under threat from transparency and reform, ARE NOW MAKING WAR UPON US!" (Naomi Wolfe--Guardian, UK).
