I was watching a program on how the people of Texas are in a panic over Obama’s ideas of gun reform; they are buying up big, and many of these people said they would like to shoot him!

I understand totally that this is part of your constitution, and there is no disagreement from me that you should have the right to own a gun, and living in a country that has been disarmed through political/illuminati BS, does anyone have thoughts on this?, it is difficult to create a balance with gun laws, and not end up with the people who’s intention is to do wrong - versus those who merely want it for protection, our gun reforms are still a ‘can of worms’, but it is claimed there are nearly 100 people per day that die from a bullet in the USA, that is so many people.

AJ, I don't think it's just Texans that are in a panic over gun law reform. Gun stores through out the US are doing a big business now and are having trouble keeping stock. Yes, people do have the right to bear arms and protect themselves . However, knowing Americans are armed those who would undermine and weaken  them, like certain programmers etc., go after something even more vital such as hearts and minds and wallets. That way a shot never needs to be fired.

BTW...more people are killed in the states by cars than bullets.

People are panicking because there has been talk about banning assault weapons. They still will be able to buy plenty of other guns but I guess that isn’t enough for some people.

Put fear in the heart, and the mind is blank!! I don’t really see the government bringing in too many reforms for weapons, but I suppose you should look at it that all these people are boosting your economy just by spending so much money, guns might be needed in a random home invasion, but at the end of the day a gun will do nothing against the technology that is currently being used, its all a big ‘con’ to get the people stirred up and in conflict against each other.

Keep the country in conflict, you keep the target easy pray.

MN, I have to disagree with the age that you are allowed to drive in the US, it is way too young, so what is the majority age group that dies on your roads? We can not drive until the age of 18 and still our majority is between 18-24.

AJ, I disagree with the age that some states allow people to drive as well. Not all states allow people to drive at 16. Beyond that they don't teach common sense driving skills. I  argued with my kid's drivers ed teachers that they were wrong in teaching it was okay to go 55 mph on these hilly ,curvy, narrow country roads. The pat reply was "It's the law."

I can't say that most of the traffic deaths are attributed to teens and young adults though. I'm not sure.

I can say, with some certainty, that most gun related deaths in the US are drug related.
I also will venture an educated guess to say gambling related.

Most people that I know who own guns aren't really fearful .

This is the fine line with guns, take them from the responsible owners and the only ones left are those who are not responsible, it is very hard to ‘legally’ get a gun here, but simple to get one ‘illegally’ so who has the guns?

I would not like to have the job of gun reform, I think the only law I would have is to make it illegal to actually carry them around like you are in the Wild West! Allow people to have them in their homes and for hunting, like what do you want a gun for? This is the question that really needs to be asked and even all these gun lovers would have a hard time answering.

I know personally what it is like to be a target of gun reform, it is such a corrupt way to control.

I agree that young people are just not taught properly how to drive, we had new laws come in this year and before a person can apply for their license they must have 140 hours of driving under a fully licensed person, will it help, not sure.

Google 'censoring' anti-Obama bloggers?

Writer claims Internet giant banning stories that expose president-elect

Is Google censoring anti-Obama stories?

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs claims the search engine giant has banned her groundbreaking articles about Obama – a technique many people refer to as "sandboxing."

"There was no warning, no notice, nothing," Geller told WND. "They have basically sandboxed me."

"Sandboxing" happens when Google strips a website's rankings from its search engine results. According to some theories, this happens to new websites when Google puts them into a holding area known as a "sandbox" until the site gains credibility.

However, Atlas Shrugs is not new, and Gellar believes her stories have been intentionally suppressed by the Internet giant – especially ones about President-elect Obama. She said her exclusive stories about Obama's birth certificate that once received thousands of hits every day will not come up in Google word searches.

"I was in the top five search results before the story got legs," she said. "These stories drove 12,000 to 15,000 people to my site every day."

But now a November earnings report shows her Google clicks and revenue flat lining since Nov. 20. Daily page impressions dropped from an average of 20,000 and 45,000 to single digits – overnight. Also, her Google images hits are slowed to only 4,720 since that day, while Yahoo and other search engines list them in the hundreds of thousands.

"The media gives blogs the silent treatment," she said. "The only thing we have is these searches. The Google word search is gone – all gone. When you are in my business, that's how you build readership."

On July 4, Gellar featured a story about a board-certified forensic expert who declared Obama's online birth certificate a "forgery" and an "obvious fake." She attributes most of her problems with Google to that report.

"I think that it's the birth certificate story," Geller said. "All of the sudden, my numbers were down by 10,000."

She has also featured reports on Obama's support of Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga and cases of alleged campaign finance fraud involving his campaign. Geller believes Google is censoring her stories because it objects to their content.

"It's a freedom of speech issue," she said. "Who are they to decide what should be searched? They don't like what I'm running so they ban me?"

Visitor to Geller's website receive this "forbidden" message when they use the Google search engine on Atlas Shrugs

Geller said she has contacted Google three times, and the company said it has filed "requests for consideration" to put her stories back on Google's search pages.

"They want me to sit this out for six months," she said. "Are they kidding? Based on what?"

Geller said the top Google word searches used to be about Obama's birth certificate. But now she said the searches only return "a bunch of speculating and hearsay" to make the stories appear to be unfounded conspiracy theories.

She believes the censorship could have something to do with Google CEO Eric Schmidt's relationship with the president-elect. According to recent reports, Schmidt will soon be holding a position in the Obama administration.

Geller said she has hired a cyber-crime consulting firm to remove her articles from the search engine's "sandbox" and has asked her readership to help fight censorship with donations.

"Google cannot arbitrarily silence voices of freedom," she said. "Blogs are the last vestige of free speech."

It is an issue that they want to disappear out of the minds of people, and this is one way to ensure such questions are lost…

  "SANDBOXED"/ BLACKLISTED BY GOOGLE.
And Mary Lentz in the comments points out, in checking the Get all Results site for the query " Obama birth certificate supreme court", one finds that Yahoo has 1,940,000 articles, and google has 95,800".

The Open Letter to Mr. Obama is a formal Petition for a Redress (Remedy) for the alleged violation of the “natural born citizen” clause of the Constitution of the United States of America. Mr. Obama is respectfully requested to direct the Hawaiian officials to provide access to his original birth certificate on December 5-7 by our team of forensic scientists, and to provide additional documentary evidence establishing his citizenship status prior to our Washington, D.C. press conference on December 8.
A First Amendment Petition to any official of the Government for Redress of a violation of the Constitution is substantially different from the garden-variety political petitions frequently received by government officials.
