280 US Citizens Murdered By Cop Tasers Since 2001

Quote:Another killing. It sounds like it's time to take away taser guns.
I second the notion, this is getting to be a disgusting joke and perversion on all human rights.  How dare they continue with such barbaric practices??!!:X

This must cease at once... and the options Sily makes are a fine alternative that would not endanger anyone they are used on... and there's many more.

This is a disgrace.

I agree with all of you, I wish we did not even have to have law enforcement, I wish humans could control themselves in such a manner that authority was not necessary but in this current realism, I do not see that happening.
The illusion is that most of the general public just believe what they see and are told, there is always two sides to the story of manipulation. So you have the ‘law abiders’ and the ‘law protestors’ but both send out energy to the action. The controllers want the law protestors to protest against the Taser, and the law abiders fear the criminal because they have totally no concept of what is making them tick, so they protest for a equally paralyzing weapon, years ago I remember people were getting shot over in the US, so they brought in the Taser.
There will be so much conflict with the police and public that military policing will be the only alternative and perhaps a gun that fires tranquillizers like the game hunters use, they already have the answer.

I don't even know if the police force in my small town carry tazers.  They might.  I'd like to ask one of them what they think of their use, even if they don't carry them.  Perhaps the load can be turned down on them so that they are not so lethal when used?  I'm not condoning them but what is the answer?

People are killed every day by various means.  We have criminals running the planet and criminals working for the criminals in charge, knowingly or not.  Earth has been called a prison planet, hell, a place for undesirables from other parts of the galaxy and a place where souls with extreme karma come to work out their karma.

I was informed my local police force does not have stun guns but they do carry pepper spray to subdue people.

Here is a new article stating that stun guns are not killing all of these people:

Could i imply as to what it is these police officers do with their time, I understand most of the concept of catching a criminal is to obtain the money of paying for a crime as well as spending time with other criminals or convicts also what is the point of trying to fix violence with violence or even cause violence and call it means to contain problems and which problems are greater the use of violence and force have always been wrong why is it the need is felt to stop lesser things with something worse in stead of better and how is this perceived by other people.

I wonder why they let these videos out into the public, when they know it will make people react, or maybe that is the reason why they do it. My question is how did he know the guy was speeding when he was behind?

I’m guessing Jared was able to get the video because he is planning on suing Utah’s highway patrol. Here’s a recent story about it.

Man To Sue Highway Patrol After Traffic Stop Tasing

The man refused to sign a ticket for allegedly speeding and after that a Utah Highway Patrol trooper tased him in front of his pregnant wife and baby.

Now the man is planning to file a lawsuit against the Utah Highway Patrol.

Jared Massey may or may not have been speeding but he was arrested when he refused to sign the speeding ticket, not knowing he had to. Now you can see it all unfold on Youtube.

Massey says, “I thought he was going to go after someone on the other side.”

Jared Massey says he was already slowing down as he approached this 40 mile per hour sign in a construction zone outside of vernal on September 14th.

But then trooper John Gardner pulled him over.

“How you doing, going kind of fast, license and registration.”

Massey was asked how fast he was going. The two exchanged words we can’t hear because of traffic going by but after about a minute trooper Gardner goes back to his car, and returns with a ticket.

Massey is asked to sign the ticket but refuses.  Trooper Gardner asks him to exit the SUV.

At this point, Massey says he thought they would talk about the circumstances.

Massey fell flat on his back as he was tased. His pregnant wife, Lauren, came out of the car screaming.

“I see this guy pull gun on me,” says Massey. “I thought it was a real gun.”

Trooper Gardner had ordered Massey to turn around and place his hands behind him twice, and it is an officer’s prerogative whether to arrest someone for not signing a ticket.

Jeff Nigbur from the Utah Highway Patrol says, “It’s easy for us to say this is what he should have done, but other hand could have felt very threatened.”

The Utah Highway Patrol tells us it will speed up the internal investigation based on a complaint Massey filed two months ago. They will also look at the use of the taser.

“We take using taser very seriously,” says Trooper Nigbur.

But for the moment Trooper Gardner is still on the job and Massey thinks his demeanor at the end of tape says everything people need to know.

Trooper Gardner is heard on the tape saying, “He was over there jumping around...I said, ‘naw, not going to play that game.’ I pulled out the taser, ‘turn around right now or I tase you.’ I tased him.”

If Trooper Garner is found to have acted inappropriately it is highly unlikely he will lose his job.

As for Massey, all charges except for the speeding ticket have been dropped.

It is good that he is fighting this penalty, but fighting the police can be a long and heavy road, because they use their position to make life very hard, I wish him well because it clearly was unfair what was done to him. It was sad to watch his wife on that clip, she just wanted to help her husband and you could see by her reaction she just did not know what to do.

CNN interviewed Massey today and he said he used the freedom of information act to obtain the video from the highway patrol. It will be interesting to hear how his case turns out.
