13:43 Aquarius Moon and Leo Sun

Lunar Eclipse Full Moon
The Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse takes place as the Moon rises in the early evening sky on the east coast of the United States. Use the saying "Take what works for you and leave the rest behind" on this Full Moon. Release. Release. Release. And if you can't release, no worries. It will fall away when it is ready to leave you over the months to come. Know that what you want to release is willing to go. That is enough to change it.

Eclipses are like can-can dances ~ the Sun, Moon and Earth all line up in a row and dance together, kicking up their heels. They also kick up our emotions, feelings and cause us to dance with either joy, fear or the sense of change. Eclipses seem to make things happen ~ they are juicier energetic events. Things hanging on by a thread break, snap or release. Hidden things come to light. Boils are lanced. Fights erupt. Changes happen.

All lunations are important as we are guided most profoundly by the two lights in our sky. However, eclipse lunations are particularly important. The cosmic lights are aligned with earth and thus our beings come into harmony or profound energetic transmissions with our purpose. Our destiny seems to shift and change on eclipses. The points in our charts that determine our destiny, the nodes of karma, are active and making major changes in our lives. It is as it is supposed to be.

This year we had THREE, instead of the usual TWO eclipses in our eclipse season. We had a Full moon eclipse on July 7, a new moon eclipse on July 21 and now we have a full moon eclipse near the World Axis. We started the eclipse season at the New Moon on June 22 and we officially end the season on August 20.

The final lunar eclipse or full moon eclipse ~ as the MOON's light gets blocked by the Earth's shadow moving across her face ~ is August 5, 2009. We are asked to release that which no longer serves us or helps us. We can expect to hear of many divorces, separations, moves, relocations, partings, endings, closings, terminations as well as deaths. The time to pull the plug is now. It is a cosmic wrap so to speak.

The point of the endings and releases is because we are about to move seriously and earnestly into Pluto in Capricorn. Yes, Pluto has been in Capricorn for a year and a half. But not really. Now he's ready to go. The situations, relationships and people that end or leave us now are not supposed to make the journey through Capricorn with us. They have a different path for the next chapter ahead. They are moving into a new or different life of their own. In the case of a death, we've finished the current life's physical karma with the person. Of course, we will continue to carry them in our heart and mind but we don't get to talk to or hang out with them. In the case of ending, separating or changing relationships, we have separate paths ahead. We will not be traveling down the same road in quite the same manner.

The point of the eclipses is not to "punish" you or take away something. The point is to help you get clear on what you need to include or delete in the next chapter of your life. Eclipses clear out stuff, including relationships. Eclipses change things that need to change. The relationship needs to change on BOTH sides so BOTH of you can have the life you were supposed to have.

Eclipses can and will bring you to your knees if you are NOT doing your work or agreeing to change and grow. In that way, eclipses can feel a bit punishing. Eclipses can also bring you to your knees emotionally in an area that needs to be cosmically cleansed. Think of it as a giant whooshing or sucking sound as the old energy spins around and goes down the drain. Soon the sink in your life will be clear and clean ~ ready to wash more dishes, rinse off vegetables, prepare dinner or rest until the next meal.

Eclipses bring things to light that we didn't know. The seeding New Moon for this eclipse took place in February 2008. It was also an Eclipse and the first New Moon after Pluto went into Capricorn for the first time since 1762. YES that WAS a long time ago! It takes Pluto 248 years to circle the Sun. Go read the New Moon column on this website or in my newsletter to see what that New Moon in February 2008 was about and for.

Eclipses happen when the Sun and the Moon join within 10 degrees of the transiting Lunar Nodes. Eclipses are known through out history to mark the beginnings and ends of cycles, movements, governments and leaders.

The seeding eclipse for the Full Moon was part of the 10 North series. According to Bernadette Brady's book, The Eagle and the Lark, the cycle began on April 25, 944 and ends May 27, 2188. "There is a strong emphasis on communication and at the same time, frustrating or inhibiting events may come into the person's life via news, paperwork or a young person. The person may feel tired and drained. Therefore it is a good time to take things quietly and work through the difficulties one at a time." Now, we find the Sun on the South Node as we reach the culmination of the New Moon from February 2008. We are releasing the things that won't be traveling forward with us on the next leg of our journey.

So how do you apply the energy of the eclipse to your life? I've been talking to numerous clients about casting out to the universe for their dreams on the upcoming eclipse. Take the time to meditate on what you'd like to manifest in your life. Give yourself and the universe a concrete, cardinal, and solid earthy list of what you would like to have come into your life. As always, be careful and clear about what you wish for. Working with eclipse energies tend to make things happen even faster than usual! Sit yourself down with the heavens and include representatives of the elements, air, fire, water and earth. Ask, out loud, and include the caveat of stating that your desires are manifested in service to and alignment with or towards your higher or greater good. Ask for things that you'd like to create as Pluto rolls through Capricorn until 2024.

And take a good look at what you want to release under the eclipse. I know you are probably exhausted by the two earlier eclipses and all the energy that has been swirling around you. Take time to breathe. Give yourself space to rest and recuperate. Press the pause button on your life for a moment. Or do nurturing and helpful things that help you recreate yourself and your vision of what you want.

Approach situations with the attitude of being a member of the audience with the Aquarius Moon. You are here to notice what is going on without feeling you have to take it home with you. You get to take it home in while. Right now, notice. Noticing things is where it is at. No judgment. Just notice. Notice and pay attention. It is to get you clearer on what is going on. The Aquarius Energy wants to notice.

The Leo Sun energy wants to play. Give yourself some creative and fun filled laughter or good times under the eclipse. Watch a movie that makes you giggle. Find a joke website and laugh. Dance around your apartment in your underwear with your air guitar. Sing. Paint. Celebrate. Play. Expand yourself with joy. Or make a plan or two to expand yourself with joy.

It is going to be a big eclipse! Remember, whatever happens, is for your greater good and moves you towards the next evolutionary step of your life. Pluto is firmly in Capricorn. He stations to go direct, on the world axis, on September 11, 2009. We are each responsible, good or bad, for where we find our selves in our lives.

Pluto in Capricorn points out the reality behind power. It helps us understand why power exists and what it does for the people who have it or don't have it. Pluto in Capricorn wants us to get real, practical, structured, responsible and be accountable, down to earth, take action, count noses and name names. Capricorn. It is a very large energetic shift for all of us and the world. The Aquarius Leo eclipse will show us how Pluto in Capricorn is going to appear in your life. It will highlight the areas that you get to grow over the years ahead. It is time for you to take responsibility for your actions. All of your actions. We are each a bit more grown up after the changes of the past few weeks.

The other feature of the eclipse is a cardinal cross with the two feminine asteroids, Venus the principle of desire and Pluto. There can be a sense of being betrayed, abandoned or lost around issues of nurturing, desire and caretaking due to power dynamics. Juno in Aries, Venus in Cancer, Ceres in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn all are arguing, fighting and talking with each other. It might have FELT like a partnership ~ and in some ways it is one ~ but there is also a hierarchy of power in it. Your structural relationship to power and her attendants might shift a bit. Juno asserts her rights as the primary partner energy ~ the cherished chosen one. Ceres asserts her rights as the nurturing energy ~ to nurture or to destroy in her energy as Mother Earth. Venus asserts her rights as the financial and desire energy to say what she wants or needs. And Pluto throws all three of them into sharp relief as he brings power dynamics ~ for good or evil ~ into the mix. The women are working on their power dynamics today with Pluto playing one against the other. Watch out.

Finally, Mars in Gemini is approaching a square to Saturn in Virgo. In some instances you are impotent to take action. In other instances, it is not appropriate to take action as you don't technically know what you know. However you DO know what you know but you aren't SUPPOSED to know it. Or if you say what you know, the other guy will have a good reason WHY what you want is not correct or why they can't or why you shouldn't. As I said, part of the purpose of the eclipse is to bring to light situations that have existed for a while but weren't being dealt with.

You have to deal with the situation(s) now. With the knowledge you have, you have to take actions to correct the matter. If you don't correct it, you will have to live like this for the next major chapter of your life. You have until September 11 to 15 to correct and fix the situations that you don't like or discover under the eclipses.

The time is now. Who you are is the result of choices you've made up to this point in your life. Where you are going next is going to be the outcome of the actions you start to take now, under these eclipses. Pluto is in Capricorn. Reality is here.

Now, that DOES NOT mean you have to quit your job, divorce your spouse, kill your sister or do any thing right this minute. It does mean you need to make a plan. It does mean you know you have to change and start to take actions or steps towards it. It does mean that you KNOW you have to do something about it. It does mean you have a plan and start to work your plan. It does mean the universe wants you packing your bag and getting ready to take your long awaited show on the road. It is time. It is your life.

Why are you wasting a moment more of your life on situations, people or stories that don't work, support, love and adore you any more?

Yes, they DID once work, support, love and adore you. Now, not so much. You are ready for your next chapter. Be brave. Chin up. Chest back. Smile on your face. Hair combed. No lipstick on your teeth or the male equivalent (fly closed?). Go for it!

Lynda Hill's interpretation of the Sabian Symbol for the Aquarius Moon on the eclipse is A TRAIN ENTERING A TUNNEL

Commentary: 'A Train Entering a Tunnel' shows the ability, in these modern times, to take the shortest and most direct route to a destination or an outcome. Years ago, we would have had to go the long way around a mountain, but now we can use many pathways, methods and "shortcuts" to get where we want to go quickly and expediently. Often, though, going into a 'Train Tunnel' can be a weird experience; the sunlight suddenly disappears, and it can feel as though we are hurtling through the earth to some unknown destination. This can be exciting, but also often rather disconcerting as the 'Train' speeds towards its destination or goal.

Oracle: You may feel the need to cut through any obstacles you encounter and to go straight ahead, regardless of any unseen hazards on your way. It may be necessary to examine whether you are operating at cross-purposes with someone. There may be a need to check the 'Trains' signals, to make sure that there's not a collision with people, or complications, coming the other way. This can be particularly true if this feels like a "one-track" journey. Perhaps the situation feels like it's never end going to end, like you're stuck in a 'Tunnel', but it's certain that it will. You are likely to have a great deal of drive and it's probable that others are with you, or people may be depending on you, so plough on through. However, this can be a lonely journey that you're on. It may feel like you're going through a dark 'Tunnel' all by yourself, and there can be a sense of isolation. Whatever the situation, there's a need to cut to the heart of the problem, without stopping to consider every single detail. If you feel that you're heading down the "right track", quickly adjusting, changing or making up your mind about some issue or problem can lead to swift conclusions and solutions. Getting stuck in the various details of the situation will probably just add to a much longer outcome than is needed. You, or someone close to you, may need to just go for it. Look to ensure that you're not missing out on the joy in the journey though, perhaps you'd really rather go the long way around rather than through the 'Tunnel'?

Keywords: Deep penetration. Cutting through extraneous or stifling detail. Persistence. Shortcuts to a desired end. Heart bypasses-physical, emotional, spiritual, etc. Cutting to the chase. Seeing and going for the objective regardless of side issues. Working at getting something finished or done. Near-death experiences. The need for track maintenance. Dropping all distracting considerations. Fallopian tubes. Hurried sex.

The Caution: Being overcautious. Taking the long way around OR taking shortcuts that inhibit deep penetration of a matter. Cutting through the crap. Tunnel vision. Cutting people off. Not listening to others. Having a one-track mind that doesn't allow for detours or deviations. Severe changes in pressure. Railroading and bulldozing.

The only way round is through. Robert Frost

No steam or gas ever drives anything until it is confined. No Niagara is ever turned into light and power until it is tunneled. No life ever grows until it is focused, dedicated, disciplined. Harry Emerson Fosdick

Due to the current economic climate, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice. Anon

If we see light at the end of the tunnel it is the light of an oncoming train. Robert Lowell

The most common of all antagonisms arises from a man's taking a seat beside you on the train, a seat to which he is completely entitled. Robert Benchley

If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction. Dietrich Bonhoeffer

RAILROAD, n. The chief of many mechanical devices enabling us to get away from where we are to where we are no better off. Ambrose Bierce

Lynda Hill's interpretation of the Sabian Symbol for the Leo Sun on the eclipse is CHERUB-LIKE, A HUMAN SOUL WHISPERS INTO EVERY RECEPTIVE EAR, SEEKING TO MANIFEST

Commentary: 'Cherub-Like, A Human Soul Whispers Into Every Receptive Ear, Seeking to Manifest' is a Symbol of the desire to be heard and taken seriously. This 'Human Soul' is trying to find a 'Receptive Ear', someone who will listen to or agree with what's being said, perhaps to spur others to take some kind of action. Something that has been waiting to be 'Manifested', said, heard or realized could come out quite suddenly.

Oracle: There is likely to be a deep realization that will transform your life on some level. The time may not be quite right to make the changes, but it is coming soon. Your creative or spiritual talents are attempting to come through into conscious expression. Listening to your inner voice, and heeding messages from others, can lead you to the next level of your life. On the spiritual level, this Symbol shows the movement of the 'Soul' to new possibilities and opportunities. On the more everyday level, it can imply that in order to find those who wish to join our process or task, ideas need to be communicated in a quiet and suggestive manner, rather than being loud and demanding. Often when there's a new idea in the air, many people seemingly come up with it at the same time. This can be rather astounding; it's like the time for this new thing to 'Manifest' has come and those that are 'Receptive' to the message will hear and respond to it. However, if the messages coming through are not clear, intelligent, or useful, you may become involved in wild-goose chases and extremes of behavior. Parts of the mind can come tearing out - wishing to 'Manifest' and make themselves heard or known. Discriminate between what's important and what's not. Listen to messages as something is seeking expression and it needs a vehicle to be able to 'Manifest' it. Perhaps you are the "vehicle"?

Keywords: New realizations. New impulses. Seeking to have one's voice heard. Messages from the other side. Reincarnation. Channeling information. Spirit descending, wishing to make itself known. Whispering. Passing on news and messages. Seeking embodiment. Transpersonal urges. Cherubs and spirits. Ears and hearing. The urge to accomplish something. Compassion. Manifesting intention.

The Caution: Confusing voices. Signs of instability or madness. Feeling that if one isn't heard, they will miss out. A need to be noticed and acknowledged. Not feeling like one can speak up loud enough to make a difference. Shouting and making a spectacle. Trying to convince others of something. Misleading statements.

Very good article ORBM, and I see it all over, and I totally agree that now is the perfect time for some type of plan, because the energy of Pluto loves planning and organization, so if you are in a bit of a mess then get you will feel the impact of this very long planetary position.

I know right. I can kind of see whats been going in my world. For some reason, I get anxiety when I do release work, I feel as though I am dying everytime I let go of something.
So even though I will do the work to benefit from the eclipse, you wont see a smile on my face. Its like working for Saturn all over again, I swear! lol

You should not really feel anxiety when do release work, you should feel relief! You may need to do some things in your physical world in order for the non physical to feel a little smoother, like clearing cupboards, wardrobe, paths around your home, look around your home, anything cluttered?

I understand the feeling of Saturn, Saturn is a good teacher, and learning through the energy is very constructive for the mind pattern

it can be hard, but it is about trusting what you have put out to the universe, this takes practice, putting too much energy into any ‘one’ thought prolongs the energy.

You were right about the being neat thing. It is a little cluttered still from a recent move. Plus I am just not quite settled yet because I am not sure where I am going to be living.
Every day I am learning to trust more I think. Its a new world. A much sadder world I think when you look at it from that kind of viewpoint.

I can feel your energy levels are down ORBM, it is a new world, and yes there is a great deal of sadness, yet there is also a love that has never been experienced until now, people love each other in a way that was tried in the 60’s with the hippie movement, it has taken awhile but I do feel a great love connection coming through the dark clouds, do you feel it?
Reply

Yeah I do. But with that great love I have suddenly tumbled upon nothingness. You know that feeling that you have merged with something that is so much greater than yourself that your actual excistence as part of it pales in view of what you have seen and felt , and your part feels so small and insignificant. You are right my energy levels are down, but only because I have chosen to give a significant part to a very special person right now. :) He is getting on his feet though.
Plus I feel myself going through a transformation, my largest one to date. I think it is a direct result of his. My fears are imerging, one by one and being stamped out, one by one.

So yes I feel it. It feels almost like it does when you see the Phoenix rising from the ashes, and carries with it hope perhaps.
What is is causing the Gossamer Web of energy connection?

Yes, there is a great deal of transformation going on right now, it feels surreal but natural and a little hard to put in words, it is very modest of you to do so much for that person, but it is part of the process of truly understanding your inner spiritual core.

It is right. Whats so wierd is that I am not sure if its the energy from these eclipses or what, but many of my friends are going through similiar situations, the core of it being the need to "let go" or "release", its so interesting.

Then I ran across this article, check it out. Very profounds AJ. Cant wait to hear your thoughts on it.

We Have to Let You Go

by Alan Cohen
I have a new favorite cartoon. It’s a rendering by James True (www.jtrue.com) that’s both humorous and profound. The cartoon shows a tomato stalk with several tomatoes growing on it, at various stages of development. One tomato is large and ripe. The tomato stalk says to the ripe tomato, “We have to let you go.” The title of the cartoon is Layoffs at the Plant.
The profound nature of the cartoon is that the large tomato is ripe to be picked. Of course the plant has to let it go because it has no further purpose on the stalk. If it stays it will rot and die. If it leaves, it will serve its next purpose.
The cartoon is a fabulous metaphor for why and when we need to be let go from a job, relationship, living situation, or any station of life. Life is not cruelly kicking you out of a place you still need to be. It is moving you on to where you really need to be for your joy and the gifts you can offer. You may think you are being cast aside, unfairly treated, or victimized, but there is a far bigger plan unfolding than meets the eye. You have completed your purpose where you have been, and your journey is about to reveal a new vista.. That’s why we have to let you go. The “we” is not your boss or your lover. It is the wise and loving collective universe.
A woman in one of my seminars reported, “Everything I have to let go of, I leave claw marks on.” If you believe there is safety in history, you will cling to the old out of fear. If you trust in the security of destiny, you will embrace the new out of trust. As I noted in an earlier work, it takes courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real safety in what is no longer meaningful. There is more safety in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.
Paramahansa Yogananda advised, “What comes of itself, let it come. What goes of itself, let it go.” If you have to struggle to get something or to hold on to it, you are trying to swim upstream of life. There is a stream of good that flows to you, through you, and around you. When you move with the stream, your good shows up in the right way, place, and time. When you buck the stream you fight to get and fight to hold on. You do not need to fight to hold on to anything that is truly yours. If it is truly yours, it will stay with you by the Law of Attraction and the Right of Consciousness. You own what you own not by manipulation, but by who you are.
When it’s time to let something go, the universe will let you know. If you get laid off, or your landlord sells the house, or your lover leaves, despair not. There is a reason for the change, and something better is in store. The more energy you spend complaining or resisting the change, the harder your transition will be, and the longer it will take for your next good to show up. Define the current change as good and helpful, and your next rewarding position will appear more quickly, easily, and naturally.
I recently saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, the movie fable about a man who is born old and grows younger over time. To be honest, during most of the movie I wondered, “And the point is?” Yet upon thinking about it, I realized there is a good point to be extracted, although in my opinion the filmmakers spent a couple of extra hours to make it. As an old man, Benjamin meets and falls in love with a little girl, but their huge age difference prevents them from having a relationship. As Benjamin grows younger and she grows older, the time comes when they are the same age, and the two have a glorious love affair. As he continues to grow younger and she older, they are drawn apart again. The apex of the movie is their thrilling love affair at the right time.
While the movie plays on the sadness of the two lovers being torn apart by time, it takes a narrow view of reality. Like many gut-wrenching romances, it suggests there is one perfect soulmate for you, whom you can enjoy for a moment, but then some evil circumstance will wrest them from you and you must muddle in the pits of despair for the rest of your life. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is true that good things come and go, and no one of them lasts forever. But what the Button movie and other romances do not tell you is that when one glorious experience ends, another one begins. To think there is one moment of good for you in your life, and when it’s gone, it’s gone, is to see the universe through incredibly narrow blinders. Life is more like a square dance or a Sufi dance where you enjoy one connection for a while, and then you move on to another great one.
So when your lover or the plant says, “We have to let you go,” do not interpret the event as loss. Interpret the event as “ripe.” While in the physical world a tomato is ripe once for one purpose, as a spiritual being you have an infinite array and procession of ripenesses for many different purposes that go on literally forever, each more fulfilling than the last.
Sure, there are layoffs at the plant. But the plant of life has roots that spread far beyond the stem the eyes can see.

Hi ORBM,

Interesting article, and I like the analogy with the tomato, and the analogy with the stream is true, but I have found over the years that going with the flow is not enough, because at times the river will have a fork in it, and it is then that you must decide which part of that journey you will continue to flow, because as much as you flow and go with it, you still have challenges and these challenges require you to look at yourself.

Let me use another analogy, imagine yourself sailing and at times the wind takes you places, and the wind is the universal laws, but at other times you must row with your sweat to move across the ocean. It’s just not that simple to go with the flow because life is a balance of physical and non physical.

And at times we have no wind and lost one of our oars….
