Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii invented a clever camera that shot three black and wh8ite negatives through red, green, and blue filters in rapid succession. While there was no way to create a color photographic print at the time, Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii developed a triple projector that would project the three transparent plates through red, green, and blue filters to reconstruct the color view.
